I don't see Hulk getting a ride. It's a great story, but everyone passed on him for 2020 and will do it again. He was really the only driver available to fill the seat this weekend.
If Seb is looking for a seat and RB wants a driver that is the obvious decision.
Only hang up I see is Seb left RB because of VER, or at least it was a decent factor. So he is going back as the second driver.

That race got fun real quick. It’s a shame in hindsight that Ver pitted. But even then, if Hamilton loses his tire even 3-5 seconds earlier he probably doesn’t hold him off.
Crazy how many teams screwed up the tires today.

The difference in track temp probably didn't help with strategy. Also they were all stretching the tires because of the safety car moving the pit window.
I would like to hear the debrief on Merc not pitting HAM. Maybe they were worried about pit gap with Bottas coming in and uncertainty on how that tire change would go

Tire gods decided they didn't like how the race was going, so they intervened. Too bad Hamilton's deity rank is higher than the tire gods. I need to go back and rewatch the last few laps.
Poor RB. That's some shite luck pitting Max.
Glad to see Ric get a good finish. Always fun to see him happy. Can't wait to see him in the McLaren next year.

Back to the glory days hopefully
Hopefully Aston Martin Mercedes Force Canada Stroll Point lets some of the Mercedes technology work down to the road cars and they make a car I can afford in 20 years.

It’ll be strange for it to no longer be Aston Martin Red Bull.
It’ll be interesting to see if Honda increases their visibility and they become Honda Red Bull

Why does that car look like Renault-Mercedes-Aston Martin-Red Bull all got put into a blender?

Pirelli’s investigating the tire issues...
No clue what they would do in time for next weekend

I don’t see how Pirelli can do much for next week. Silverstone is just hard on tires. Didn’t both Ferrari’s have this same tire issue a few years ago?

They could probably use the harder compounds again, I suppose, if they felt like the softer compound would go quicker. Then teams would have a more predictable tire experience.

A few years ago everyone was blowing tires at Silverstone, but they were allowed to run the tires backwards. Pirelli changed that after the weekend (maybe during).
The tires should lose grip long before they blow up or delaminate.
It was strange to see how any spin destroyed the tires this weekend. They usually flat spot, but any spin just obliterated the tires. Think it was Leclerc who destroyed his car getting back to the pits in one of the free practices.

I don’t keep up with it as well as I should.
What are the changes to teams, engines and drivers for next season?

Not a lot of huge changes to the Formula, but a quick recap of major happenings:
McLaren will utilize Mercedes engines
Aston Martin is moving sponsorship to Racing Point
Carlos Sainz is leaving McLaren for Ferrari
Vettel is weighing his options (there is talks he will sign with Aston Martin Racing Point, leaving Checo to find another ride).
Danny Ricciardo is leaving Renault for McLaren
Fernando Alonso returning to F1 to race at Renault

Spending limits start next year, $145MM then 140MM.
New aero formula has been pushed back to 2022 due to covid and some spending limitations.
Good news, Netflix is filming again right now.
