With a Billionaire backer they might.
Or it may be Carlos Slim Racing if Haas just wants to sell it.

Pretty sure I saw an interview and Haas said he would pull out of there isn’t signs of improvement this year

It was something mentioned in the series, we’re not here to lose.
They said they before the rules were changed, and the budget cap was passed.
That may make a difference in Haas’s thinking.

I remember seeing an interview with him before the cap was passed and he didn't seem very impressed by it. I think his point was that the cap was still above what he spends. I think the cap was lowered sometime after that. So maybe he feels differently now.
F1 needs to do whatever they can to hold onto the 10 teams they currently have. A grid with only 18 or 16 cars would be a sad sight. Unfortunately Bernie Ecclestone was only concerned with bumping up his sale price and built a terrible foundation at the end of his tenure.
*Found the article. It was actually a quote from Gunther Steiner

“Gene [Haas] is happy, but the budget cap that has been agreed doesn’t really impact him, as we are already spending under that limit.
“What he needs to see is the new commercial agreement, which we should have next year, giving a more equitable return for the teams.

Hard to imagine doing worse than last year but they are giving it a go already. Does the spending cap go into effect next season? I heard that the new regs were pushed back to 2022.

I believe the spending cap down to 145 million will still stand for implimentation next year. And if I remember correctly, it will drop further in the years after 2021. Also, there is a limitation on aero testing coming into play which will help the smaller teams.

Will Hass make it past this year?
With Checo and his money from Mexico, Haas would be rolling.

Looks likely that checo will be at Haas.

Didn't checo renew with Racing Point long term? I guess I'm not seeing how he would be moving. I have yet to see a contract for Stroll besides his dad.

Alonso admitted that Racing Point offered him a seat 2 months ago. That all but confirms the Vettel offer rumor are true.
Checo's agent has been shopping him to HAAS and Alfa.
I would like to see Red Bull add him.

Well practice times are BS, but really looks like it will be Mercedes 1,2,3,4 for this race.

I feel like it's just a matter of time before we see a Racing Point podium at this point. Also, I've approached all the races this season with the thought that all the real racing is usually from about 4th place back and have completely ignored the Mercedes dominance. It's made watching a bit more enjoyable and the McLaren/Racing Point/Renault scraps so far this season have made for some good entertainment. I'm sure at some point there will be some good racing in the front but for now it's pretty boring to watch the 2 Mercedes and Max just run away.

With Merc so far ahead and really only bring DAS, which they don't use, it makes you wonder what they have developed that isn't being used.
DAS was looks like it was some sort of distraction meant to take up R&D time from other teams.

Barely using I guess should be term. Most of the time it has been seen while trying to keep the tires warm.

Isn’t that the point of it, to keep the outsides of the tires warm?
Using it during caution laps or warm ups

The speculation was improvement in straightline speed and help cornering.
Which in theory it should help. Just not sure it has been seen in use a ton during the races.

Tires warm/straight away speed/tire degradation benefits, its hard to say how much they use it, but they definitely pull/push that wheel so it must do something.
Not that they need to do it. Hamilton/Bottas could trade cars with racing point and still win.

What Ferrari could be. There is no replacement for pouring money in, but Ferrari is showing even with mega money it is possible to screw it up.
Also Seb's interview today was very cheeky. I think he has a plan and is now just relaxed about letting it play out.
