So after 14 pages no one has answered the million dollar question for us folks who like to have our fix from 7-5 of LSU newstalk. I know their are a number of you who aren't fans of the 1210 shows but I enjoyed having someone I could listen to if I wanted to hear LSU talk. So right now I am hearing Moscona in the afternoons on 104.5 is the only option for LSU sportstalk. Is there any other option for the mornings and early afternoons? There is a week left before the BCS and I gotta have my fix this week.

Agreed, I like to get a variety of opinions, so my schedule for the last couple of years has been:
Ott 9-11
Rome 11-2
Buddy 2-3
Scona 3-til (when Condon was on would listen to him from 4 on)
It will be weird, especially this week only listening to a couple hours of local programming.
Guess I will have to work the guys from 690 into the rotation until some more BR options come up.

Agreed, though Marshall had a pretty miserable year this year, at least judging from the picks on the show. Last year he was money.......

The guys need to call up Jon Fine and get some advice.
I listen to scona in the afternoons because he is the only local option at that time. I find him to be arrogant to say the least. Sad that he is the only local option now all day.

Just heard this.
Agree with some others that the same stuff was talked about all day. Lots of times even the same guys were calling different shows with their goofy aliases.
Maybe an option would be to do something online?

YUP it was the main reason I quit callin the shows. Anytime I saw Buddy he would ask me how the internet was treating me. very sarcastic voice when he asked. He noticed that I quit callin at about the same time as I started posting. I will say this that if Clear Channel listened for just two days they would see that the same shite is talked about by every host throughout the day. It just depended on what callers would call what show. Another factor IMO.

All of the host got emails yesterday saying the station had changed its format and that they were no longer needed.

After the initial shock wears off:
Otter will be fine, even if it means a job outside of radio. He'a also smart enough to find another platform, although the pelican tv thing is a failure waiting to happen.
Landry, Jordy and Condon have jobs, so they'll be fine.
Songy, though, I don't know what to think. He's got a huge ego, hasn't had to really answer to anyone in 20+ years, he really believes he's some kind of BR legend, and therefore has a sense of entitlement. Who knows where he'll end up. That said, his longevity alone may give him the best shot at going to 104.5, but I smell a clusterfrick if he does.
Also, I doubt most of these pay to play guys have been paying accurate taxes for years. That will be a pay cut in itself.

I had no problem with Songy thou alot didn't like him. I guess out of the whole bunch I liked Jordy the best. Ott is fricking usless. All he did was have his buddys call in, who don't know jack shite. If anyone has brought it up I may have missed it. But isn't it hilarious that they were all fired by email, which is pretty shitty way to do it, by a station going to a gospel format Not laughing at those that were fired but at the assholes who lacked the nutts to do it the right way.
