Foreman winning the Heavyweight Title at 45 is one of the greatest achievements in sports

Definitely one of, if not the, greatest in boxing.
And how he approached his second run, changing his style completely, is something that very few have actually done (who knows why)

Impressive feat no doubt. To me, his greatest accomplishment in his 2nd run was his fight with Holyfield. 2 warriors that left it all in the ring that night. Foreman as a young man would've obliterated Holyfield or anyone else of that era.

Tom Watson at nearly age 60 narrowly missed becoming a true golf legend, he was pretty good anyways. Had Watson won the Open in 2009 he would have accomplished something no other PGA golfer had done.....winning a major over the age of 51.
The oldest golfer to win a major is Phil Mickelson at age 50.....Watson at age 59 would have set a mark likely to never be surpassed.

It's no secret George's first run in the pros was dominated by his incredible punching power------------but hampered by his lack of stamina if having to go past 6-7 rounds against an active fighter who could withstand his onslaught.
Ali proved this in KO'ing him in Africa to regain the title.
When he came back, he was way more relaxed in the ring and that helped him in long fights. You lose a lot of energy being tensed up and eager like he was in his younger years.
Hell, even outside the ring he was a more likeable person and was easy to relate to. George was pretty surly his first go-around like he had a huge chip on his shoulder all the time.

Because Jack wasn't getting punched in the face doesn't mean it wasn't any less impressive. When you're talking sports accomplishments in general, you can't always do apples to apples.
Both are pretty incredible. Love me some George Foreman.

He first chance at regaining the title was against Holyfield. He lost a decision. At one point he caught Holyfield in the jaw with a short cross. Holyfield went to his corner and asked them if he still had all his teeth.
Said it was the hardest punch he ever recieved.
They were in talks to set up a rematch for the title, but Moorer defeated Holyfield before they could set it up. So Foreman challenged Moorer, who could have declined but thought it would be an easy title defense.
Remember watching it live. Moorer claims that he wasn't knocked out, but that's bullshite. His eyes immediately rolled into the back of his head.

Yeah. Appreciate the feat, but Foreman's title at that age is infinitely more impressive then Jack's win. The sheer athleticism alone makes it so.

Yes it does. Golf is a great game, but to win a title in boxing at that age is a helluva lot more impressive than winning the Masters. Snead won plenty of tournaments in his 40s and into his 50s. Phil won at 51 or so. Golf is absurdly difficult from a skill level, but boxing is absurdly difficult from an athletic level, and age affects one a lot more than the other.
