Do you know that you’re retarded, or would me telling you that come as a surprise?

Just curious

BCS Era CFB had the most meaningful regular season. Now 3+ loss teams will be able to compete for a title. Crazy

While I agree with you on principle, the idea of a playoff game on campus is enough to make me reconsider.

With a 12 team playoff, A&M might actually have a chance to make the playoff once in a blue moon.

Many CFB fans that first time a major end of season rivalry game sees one side benching a bunch of their starters

Just go ahead and break off from the ncaa and become the NFL's official minor league system and suck every bit of life left out of a once great sport.

This will kill everything left that is decent about College Football... And it ain't much right now as it is in its current state.

10 conference champions and 2 at large. The entire regular season would have huge meaning. Top 4 seeds get byes, 5-8 would get home games on campus in the first round, and every team would "have a shot". I honestly don't see the problem in it, give every FBS team a seat at the table.

I see your point in that wildly engaging, well thought-out retort. I guess the current system of Clemson, OSU, Alabama, and a wildcard provides so much parody and such high entertainment value.

So you want to watch Clemson, OSU and Alabama win MORE playoff blowouts?

Adding more teams and rounds won’t magically keep the best teams from slaughtering all but each other.

What's reatrded is sticking to an outdated broken system because muh tradition. Also pretending like the regular season will become pointless when bye weeks are a thing and hopefully home field

The BCS was so good. It fed our insatiable need to be victims. Imagine 2019 under the BCS. LSU would beaten either Ohio state or Clemson in the championship game.

Whichever team got left out of Clemson and Ohio State would never, ever stop bitching about it.

Hell hath no fury like a bunch of chicken little fans scorned and like it or not hatred and victim hood is the great elixir for fan bases and rivalries.

Now there is no unfinished business carried over from one season to the next.

I have no problem giving conference champions a seat at the table. If they get blown out in the first round by another conference champion or a legit at large then so be it. Today no more than 10 and probably closer to 6-7 teams have a legit shot to be in the playoff next January. Open up the field and make that number go to 100+. Will there be blowouts? Absolutely, will we see upsets and even an occasional run by an underdog? Probably. If it stays at 4,then ok, but expanding to include more teams is far from the end of the world, nor would it ruin the game.

Society seems to demand conformity these days.

CFB is different than the other sports in that regular season games for top tier teams are dramatic and high stakes.

They demand that we make it just like all the other sports. It'll eventually be 16 teams, then 18 teams with a play-in. NFL minor leagues, basically.

When I hear people say shite like this I know they live in one of those faux-French villa houses that looks just like 20 of their neighbors' homes.

CFB will soon be one of those tract homes in the sports neighborhood.
