Those wins are over who?
Teams that were ranked in the top would be my guess.
This is why Saban has ruined FB. This is his 5th year as a full time HC and you retards want to say he’s not good because he didn’t win the NC yet.

Those 5 all have equal if not more talent than Ohio St
Not close according to the rating services. Only the past year or two has UM been recruiting at a very high level.
*No, they are not always right but they usually are not far off.

…but they are “The” Ohio State University.

Where are these top 10 wins(and losses) coming from?
I just can’t buy in to it being a good metric when it seems like your conference has 3 teams worth a shite and even those are meh as hell half the time.
Are plenty SEC teams that sneak up towards the top 10 overrated half the time? Sure. But plenty teams have the capability to do it and when they do, it’s because they’re dangerous as hell at something, typically offense. They’re tough outs for any team, even top top top teams.
I just can’t find it in me to care that you beat up on top 10 Penn States or Wisconsins. They’re such little threat to the top ~4 teams we see each year. It’s the same shite every year. Same styles of play and y’all just have WAY more talent than them.

No coach should ever be losing to Mich States and Penn States and Wisconsins with their style of football while coaching OSU.

How many NFL players did they have? Teams at the top of the recruiting rankings do win more I agree but I would doubt Michigan was that far off Clemson didn’t have the highest rated classes at the start of their run but had comparable NFL talent

Ryan Day looks like abusive male antagonist in a Lifetime movie.

That’s absolutely perfect.
He’s the a-hole guy the main girl brings to a family gathering at the start of a holiday movie that’s a jerk and has no clue what he has.

I did not post the record so I don’t know. Last Penn St finished #8 but was 13 when they played Ohio St. if you standard is basically no outside of the SEC is good then there’s no point in discussing it.

It has nothing to do with Saban.
But it does, not because you are a Bama fan, but because he has so warped the standard people are questioning any coach that doesn’t win championships every year.

This is nonsense. No program wins by itself. If Ohio St had a bad coach they would most definitely lose to those teams.

Of course teams outside of the SEC are good. I’m just saying what OSU has to do in that conference(where I’m assuming they tally most of their top 10 wins) isn’t comparable to what an SEC team has to do.
And I guess my main point is without any context, an OSU coach going 8-5 vs top 10 teams doesn’t mean a whole lot. ESPECIALLY when they don’t have any NCs. That 8-5 stat needs to be examined before anyone takes any meaning from it.
Doing so might even show that my take is dogshit.

Saban is not that greedy. He is past the rebuilding stage. He will retire at Bama.
Posted on 11/17/23 at 6:04 pm to ReauxlTide222
I'm sure the wins hes counting are overrated psu and ND who dont finish in the top 10 . They surely aren't from non conference teams that finish in the top 10.
Posted on 11/17/23 at 6:04 pm to dukke v
That wouldn’t be much of a rebuild.
Saban would win a NC there in year 3 at the latest. And depending on QB play he’d rack up NCs there with the quickness.

Posted on 11/17/23 at 6:12 pm to VABuckeye
My point is 8-5 vs top 10 teams is meaningless without context due to how shite the Big 10 is at the top each year.

It’s worse when they prop up garbage teams like Iowa who get skull fricked whenever they play someone with a pulse but OMG they have a top 10 defense.
