I remember John David Booty passing 4 TDS as a sophomore against West Monroe in 2001.

Can be offense or defense.

I vividly remember Zach Von Rosenberg pitching the State Championship game as a freshman for Barbe, before he transferred to Zachary and won three more.

A number of years ago -

Barbe vs Sam Houston for the 5A State Baseball Championship.

There was some damn good baseball played that evening.

The crowd was "ELECTRIC" , to say the least.

Definitely in the top 5 Baseball games I've watched in person. At all levels. And I've watched a bunch.

I don't have stat lines, but Randy Livingston and Kerry Kittles did some pretty fantastic shite when they were winning championships at their schools. I was a kid watching Kittles, and a teenager watching Livingston. I am sure their stat lines would reflect it.

Vermilion Catholic QB Jonathan Dartez in the Dome 2024.

47 carries for 253 yards w/ 2 TD's
8/11 passes for 82 yards w/2 TD's

Most rushes in any game by one player in Superdome history, college, pro, or HS.

Ricky Zibilich threw a no-hit, 14 strikeout masterpiece for Rummel in the 1974 state championship game against Broadmoor.

This

He may be the greatest ever Louisiana high school running back. He had three state championships and was the MVP for his final two state championship games.

I think it was the 1996 5A State Game, WM vs Carencro. Tommy Banks played both FB and MLB, stats wont do his dominance justice. I am not a WM fan FWIW.

One that no one will mention or even know happened really is Terrence Tarver for West Monroe in 1997. Dislocated his shoulder on the last play of the first half. Popped it back in, tied it down/to his side, played the second half, came back and won the game 22-19.

I can’t imagine this dude either running through or hitting you full speed in high school. They beat us (Neville) that year coming off of us winning state the year prior, and I can remember thinking yeah these guys look a little bit different than our guys this year
