And you base this on..what?

His lack of shooting ability. His complete reliance on being physically tronger than others. That will make him a nice player but at 6' 7" he's not going to be a 25+ ppg player.

Again, tongue in cheek.

Regardless of where he goes, his current body makes you think he could balloon up if he doesn't take steps, which I'm sure he will. But that has been just one of the talking points about him that I've seen a good bit.

His height would be a bigger factor if all players had the same leaping ability and explosiveness, which they clearly don’t. He isn’t just some random 6’7” guy. He isn’t even just a random 6’7” 270 pound guy (how many of those even exist?).

He could literally be the most explosive player in the history of the game based on his measurements.

However what impresses me the most about him are his intangibles.

Not as close to as bad as you're making it, and that is one of the easiest things to develop to a skilled player with coaching. Lebron couldn't shoot for shite either.

This is a gross mischaracterization of his game, but guess what, he'll still be stronger that many NBA players. He will weigh more at 19 than 95% (possibly more) of NBA players. Most guys he will be playing against will be at least 20lbs lighter than him.

How about his defensive ability? His great passing ability? Agility? Handles? Basketball IQ?

At one time I thought the same thing about him, then went back and watched him closely. He's way more than that.

Any player can bust, for sure. I think he will be as good as people think.

He seems like he’s got a head on his shoulders

I expect him to not be like Embiid

Per a podcast I listened to recently, this is Embiid in college. Hardly recognizable. Now he seems slighly out of shape, hurt a lot, and seems to struggle physically towards the end of games. And he definitely didn't have that look coming out of college.

Zion has a rare competitive fire and I'm confident he'll take care of himself.

Yeah the “bigger, faster, stronger” argument was feasible when his main video was against South Carolina high schoolers and the less competitive Adidas circuit.

And then he posted record-breaking stats in the top conference in the country and in the NCAAs.

He has the rare gift of always being the biggest, strongest and fastest guy in the room. Not just in high school or college.

There is always those. Davis was too skinny and couldn't shoot. Would get pushed around on both sides of the ball by grown men.

40.8 which is absolutely freaking absurd.

PER, to me, is one of the most helpful advanced stats to really evaluate both individual performance and impact on the team.

The guy is GOOD.
