FCS Preseason Poll

The poll from STATS will be the one I use since most reliable and most comprehensive. Although has a decided East Coast bias it does a good job in ranking teams. There are the usual cast of characters with some new actors in the poll.
As always will bold MVC and SLC teams and Italics the Louisiana teams

Montana State should be pretty good this year. I hope they are, anyway. Everyone around here is in a better mood when they’re winning. It’s better for business.

Why are they playing them? It’s stupid by Udub’s part. Play Sac St or Idaho St anyone but an in state school
Let Wazzu take that chance. If they lose it’s no big deal as they’ve done it before

I don't know of any UW fan that wants to play EWU. We were one of a few schools to never play an FCS school until Sark and Woodward decided to switch to an easier OOC schedule. They are trying to correct that, but it takes a long time. Although they are still scheduling some future FCS teams.

I get that but it’s the in state thing that bothers me. I mean UNI has to play by state law ISU or Iowa
But if no law then schedule out of state

South Carolina and Clemson are required to play one in state team a year (obviously other than eachother)
Usually for us it’s an FCS team but last year it was Coastal Carolina for us
This year Charleston Southern
In 2015 we were beat by Citadel

Typically FBS losses aren't held against anyone too much, and an FBS win or very close game can give you a nice bump in the polls.
