What's y'all take on Guidry? He the right guy?

I think they need a new OC. This year had some head stretching calls

It wasn’t the ADs fault we lost at Nicholls, but it was still a poor scheduling decision to play a road conference game as the season opener. I said then that loss would haunt us, and I was correct.

I just don't think that is that big of a deal. We had a chance to win that game multiple times. It's an excuse people keep using, but it's just that, an excuse. We could have and should have won.

We had senior leaders committing stupid penalties multiple times. Defensive backs tripping over each other and giving up big TDs.

Yeah, maybe playing that game 2 weeks later means we win it no doubt. But we COULD HAVE WON! And we didn't.

I don’t disagree with you, we definitely should have won that game regardless. I think we should have tried to avoid the game though, and that we should try to do so in the future.

If the conference tells you to play that date you play. I’m not sure what you’re getting at?

Wow, Nicholls and South Dakota were the last 2 in. UNH wasn't even at the bottom. #frickedup

UNH's AD must show up to the selection committee meeting in Indy with briefcases full of cash. They shouldn't have gotten in last year either.

Monmouth gets crushed in their last game, beats nobody and also gets in. Just bizarre.

At least my Bison got a decent draw. Sucks for SDSU that they'll get UNI right away. Nicholls-USD should be interesting, Yotes have a fast paced offense that is tough when clicking, their rush defense isn't so great though.

If you believe our fans, we are the cream of the SLC. If you believe that, then we shouldn't have a problem playing Nicholls, Northwestern, SFA, or any of those second rate jobbers we added. This wasn't Southeastern, Sam, or UCA.

And I don't mean to knock Nicholls, either. If we have to have stipulations on when we play someone, then why are we playing?

I mean, hell, Nicholls had to play the game, too.

And I believe you said it earlier, we had a chance to make a statement against UCA, and we blew that too. This doesn't come down to the Nicholls game. That was just the icing on the cake.

Hell, we could have another one of those games a few years down the road, win it, and then be the team that benefits down the road because we got a good win off a good opponent to open the season.

Can't blame this on the Nicholls game. Hell, playing close games against Southeastern, Lamar, and Abilene don't help our case either. Struggling with a D2 team doesn't help our case either.

That we want to host that opening game next time instead of playing it on the road.

At least say, look if we’re playing this game for you, we want one at our house. Maybe we have one, but I haven’t seen anything about it.

We’ve been UCA and Sam Houston’s doorstep, and Southeastern has gotten the best of us several times the last few years.

With Lamar and Southeastern restarting their programs, and the resurgence of Nicholls, our recruiting has taken a hit. Some guys we could have stolen from eastern Louisiana are harder to get. More competition in East Texas, Northern Louisiana. UL Lafayette in our backyard. The landscape has changed to put McNeese at a disadvantage.

We are no longer the cream of the crop. But, we should have a certain amount of capital in the conference to avoid being pushed around, if that’s what’s happening. Not totally sure it is.

It's not. Our spoiled rotten, entitled fanbase just believes it is. We consistently have the best attendance in the conference. We have more titles than any other member of the league. We played in 2 National Championships.

Our ridiculous fans just think the conference is against us because they don't get what they want. They think Brad Teague should have fought for McNeese to be in, and because McNeese isn't in, they don't think the SLC did. They just want to cry and claim the SLC and NCAA just screwed McNeese, instead of actually looking at the bigger picture. What possible reason could either have for screwing us? Hell, the funny part is the fans using Conference Rankings as a reason for McNeese to be in, then bitch when a 7-4 team from the #3 Conference gets in.

My thing is, unless we are always going to play an FBS money game or a gimmee win D2 game, we are going to suffer losses against conference or top-tier FCS programs every once in a while.

If we didn't play a damn D2 game, maybe we are in. Especially if we had at least played another FCS school, even if it isn't a South Dakota, Montana, Northern Colorado, or Southern Utah.

I mean, why you think I've been in these threads for the past 3 or 4 weeks denouncing our playoff chances? I was preparing myself for the inevitable...lmao!

My last remark and I'll be done. The clowns that want us to move up because more interesting matchups in the Sun Belt would draw fans in. Lmao! Apparently they have no clue how much that would cost, or what the real issue with attendance is.

Colonels averaged 7,500 for their 5 home games this year.
The school is expecting this game to sell out which I would think is a good possibility with it being the 1st ever home playoff game and the 1st playoff game since 2005.
Capacity is 10,500 per website.

That bodes well for the Colonels.

Just ordered my tickets. They went on sale to the general public at 10pm. The section I bought in was the mid-priced "Reserve Bench" seating for $25/ticket. Seats are between the 10 and 30 yard lines. It was around half-way sold already. There's a small section that's chair-back seating between the 30 yard lines. Those tickets are $35. The rest of the stadium is General Admission for $20. Hoping to see a good crown there.
