Wow, so how does that affect the playoffs?

Not a bit, since Patriot is a 1 bid.

I said Lehigh in my bracket “experts” had Colgate. But Lehigh beat Colgate and Lafayette to earn it.

Central Arkansas has quietly been churning out wins for a while down there in Conway. They've got a nice campus and Conway isn't a bad place to live at all.

That they were. I wasn't sure moving up to the FCS was a good idea at first but they seem to be thriving there.

So I need some more help to understand how mcneese has a better resume than Nicholls. Central Arkansas and sam Houston should be about a wash and then alcorn state and prairie view are pretty close as well. How do those differences overrule a head to head win by Nicholls?

The Defense computers and common opponents

Plus it was first game of year. Nobody respected Nicholls for some reason.

If Nicholls lost to southeastern the first game of the season and beat mcneese to end the season with these same resumes I feel like Nicholls would almost assuredly be ahead of mcneese and would be close to a lock to be in. Shouldn’t matter that the win happened in August as it’s still on the resume for this season.

Nicholls also was scraping by compared to what McNeese did. I think that Nicholls deserves in over but just not seeing it. They had to win last Thursday night

Plus if McNeese wins they’ll have more wins

I’ve been seeing that narrative but if you look at the schedules side by side the amount of blowout wins and close wins by each team are way more similar than the narrative would have you believe. I’m just not seeing the huge difference in the resumes I guess

Nicholls is an unknown also that makes a difference

Teague will help but I just don’t see him getting both in now

I gotcha, I appreciate your insight. I’m holding out hope that the 8 wins and head to head win over mcneese are enough in the committees eyes.

If Nicholls is in McNeese will be in. But there’s a push for Monmouth and Delaware to get in also

D2 games don't count for playoffs though. Might as well be a bye.

Both teams would have 8 D1 wins.

I’d also argue that a close loss @ aTm for Nicholls looks better than a D-2 win for McNeese. But, I still think McNeese gets in over Nicholls just given their name recognition and where they’ve been ranked during the season.

At least you said name recognition and not "reputation" like our dumbass fans. Last time we won a playoff game, most of our players were, at most, 6 years old. We don't HAVE a reputation anymore.
