The same 2010 Auburn that needed some overtime heroics to beat a 2010 Clemson? No. 2018 Clemson routes them.

You’re calling a 31st ranked defense “mid?” Pair it with possibly the greatest cfb offense ever, and I’ll take LSU to win that tourney.

That 2008 Florida team was hell on earth in big games and they had an incredible coaching staff.

They lost to an 8-4 Ole Miss team @ home that caused Tebow to cry like a baby afterwards. 2019 LSU didn't have crybaby QBs. LSU dominates that game!

Big Dick Joe and the boys would go scorched earth after being disrespected by receiving the 2 seed and win each game by at least three tuds.

how is LSU's mid D gonna stop shockey, johnson and those RBs (hint: they wont). it would be a shoot out but miami's D has a better chance of getting a stop than LSU's D

Yea give me Joe burrow over Ken Dorsey in a shootout.

LOL, the ignorance of this statement screams butthurt.
The 2020 team has already been touted by multiple outlets as the GOAT. Get over it and quit being childish.

That season was such a shite show with way too many variables for any team that year to be considered a "GOAT" team.

Is this like your 30 national championships?

Sorry to break it to you but the Tuscaloosa gazette doesn't count as a legitimate news outlet.

LSU had the Thorpe award winner starting at safety next to one of the fastest players in the country in Vincent and a true box safety in Stevens

Derek Stingley might be the best CB in the NFL. I like my chances there.

those RBs
LSU's three primary linebackers are multi year NFL starters. LSU also had a top 20 run defense in CFB in '19.

Also, they don't have to respect Dorsey, so they can keep Stevens in the game and load the box.

Since August of 2019, at no point has anyone (regardless of level) has managed to slow down Joe Burrow, Jamarr Chase, or Justin Jefferson. At all. Please tell me what strategy Miami would deploy to slow them down, together, while also adding the best offensive line in CFB, a 1st team all conference RB, another WR who averaged 15 YPC and a TD every 4 catches for his career, a reliable tight end who didn't drop a pass all year, and a scheme that didn't allow for any substitutions by the defense.

It's impossible.

I just want to see the 2019 LSU and 2004 USC team in the semifinal, so we can witness Ed Orgeron as the head coach at LSU and the defensive line coach at USC simultaneously.

The clown that said “lol” at Clemson… that team mercy kneeled possibly the best Bama team of all time at 44-16. First 15-0 team.
Yeah, ESPN crowned that Bama team the best team ever halfway through the season. If I remember correctly they breezed through their SEC schedule. Dabo talked a ton of defensive NFL prospects into returning that season.

Auburn stopped them so it's definitely not impossible. I do think by the end of the year that team was playing at as a high a level as I've seen a college team play

Johnson vs Stingley would have been epic to watch.

Buchannon vs Chase/Jefferson would have been fun to watch as well.

Ed Reed and Sean Taylor playing in the backfield would have limited a ton of down field plays for Burrow. Williams and Vilma at LB would have made it a little more difficult for Burrow on the underneath game.

Miami 2001 vs LSU 2019 would be an awesome match up.

Taylor was a backup his freshman year. James Lewis was as the other starting safety with Ed Reed.

2001 Miami had great players but they are so far from being even top 5 “teams”

Go back and look at their season

Not to diminish Auburn's game plan, but LSU played an all time bad (for that team) game in the rain. Two failed goal line opportunities, a red zone pick, a failed 4th down earlier in the game, the Stingley fumble on the muffed punt. Shot themselves in the foot over and over. Still one of the best games I went to that year. Even had some Bo Nix magic on that deep throw down the side line where half his body was out of bounds when he released it

2019 LSU
2008 UF

That is the only matchup that matters. 2001 Miami gets smoked by either team.

2001 Miami and 2004 USC dominated when there was actual parity in CFB....2010-2020.... Not so much.

Taylor played in nickel and dime packages pretty consistently in 2001.

They played 4 top 15 teams during the season. LSU played 5.

Speaking of schedules, and don't want to derail, but that 2011 LSU football schedule was brutal.
