I haven’t had cable is a while so I genuinely do not know: can people in New Orleans or Baton Rouge get Astros games on their local cable? If so what channel?

Louisiana has cable providers that offer the Rangers on Bally Sports and the Astros on Space City Home Network.

The problem for Louisiana Astros fans is that Space City Home Network isn't offered on many providers.

Explain how Goodell would fix this.

Ask him. He is the one who makes tens of millions a year and oversees a multibillion dollar organization

But you said he would get it done for some reason. I'm just curious why you think that considering he never had to deal with regional TV networks.

Interesting map. I had no idea southern AZ was partial Padres territory. I would of thought that was all Diamondbacks.

I was born in 1970 and grew up a Braves fan. Watched them almost every night from the late 70s until when this BS started a few years ago. I now only catch them when they are on a national broadcast like the other night on ESPN or during the playoffs. My kids aren’t Braves fans and couldn’t give one crap about them because the team isn’t on my TV 5 nights a week like they were when I was young. Sure, they will get a fleeting interest during the post season as a novelty type deal but they have no passion or love for the franchise. Sucks for everyone.

What do you mean by this?

The Braves no longer being on TBS (which stopped being a thing more than a few years ago) has nothing to do with this.

I read a post on Reddit from a guy in Iowa. He said the Twins, Brewers, Cubs, White Sox, Cardinals and Royals are ALL blacked out in Iowa. Only the Royals and Cardinals are even available on local cable where he was located.

Also, Hawaii is missing from this picture. I think all the west coast teams are blacked out for them.

Blackouts in 2024 is the equivalent to using a dumb phone.

I can confirm this. The weird thing was I could never get either Chicago team's cable network. I don't ever remember seeing the White Sox on. And the Scrubs were only on some local channel on weekends. And the Fox Sports alternate channel only carried 1-2 Twins or Brewers games a week when the Royals weren't on. Cardinals and Royals always got priority over the other teams where I was. I don't know if it was different in other parts of the state.

Yep. This started from a reddit thread where the poster said he was in a box next to Manfred and would say the most up voted post to him.

He added dumbass on his own though haha.

I got MLB to watch the Cubs and of course they are blacked out because they are playing the Astros. So I thought no big deal I've been seeing the Astros on Fubo as I see their games their on Ballys all the time, but no the Rangers were on.

But I was able to watch the game on Fubo through some network called Space City.

All of south LA grew up Astros fans so now we get force fed Rangers
That's pretty dumb when you have a fanbase that flocked to Houston all these years.
With the exception of last season that saw the Rangers win it all, we missed out on the best run the Astros have ever had by watching pretty bad Rangers baseball. It makes no sense.

True. Iowa is very fricked up and MLB fans here are sick if it. In NW Iowa only the Twins are available on Bally Sports North but all those other teams are still blacked out. Move across the river to South Dakota and only the Twins are blacked out but available on the RSN. It's so stupid.
