NFL determined that Calvin Ridley placed multi-legged parlay bets involving 3, 5 and 8 games that included the Falcons to win, per source. Investigation determined there was no involvement from any team players, coach etc. placed via his mobile device out of state.

So he bets $1500 he doesn’t have a gambling problem?

I think a bunch of lost game checks say otherwise.

This will become more and more common. These athletes love gambling.

NFL release said no inside information or confidential team information was used to make his bets. Not a huge deal imo.

I only upvoted to make it 28-3

Just so we’re clear *checks notes* gambling warrants a harsher suspension than domestic violence?

Classic Goodell move.

I wonder if he used FOX Bet, BetMGM, PointsBet, or WynnBET. They're the officially approved sportsbooks of the NFL.

I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt on the mental stuff…. But maybe that was all a clever ploy to distract away from what he’d really been up to.

I’m pretty sure if he only betted on sports outside of football that would have been a moot point.

Yes, the NFL really wanted the Bengals in the Super Bowl over Mahomes.

He just needs to quit talking.

And Scheftey just tweeted this:

quote:

Multiple NFL teams reached out to the Falcons in recent weeks to inquire about trading for Calvin Ridley, and each time, Atlanta declined to enter into any talks out of good faith, knowing the issues in store for their standout wide receiver, per sources.

Not just because it's another out of left field Falcons moment like dogfighting or getting busted buying a hooker before the Superbowl but it tanks his trade value.

Falcons are winning bingo for sure. The most bizarre things happen to this team.
