ESPN: Who are the top 10 players without a Super Bowl ring?

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (ninth season) has taken his team to the AFC Championship Game twice in eight tries and ran into Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs dynasty both times.
How hard is it to win a Super Bowl? We ranked 10 of the best retired players who played at least half their careers in the Super Bowl era but never won a ring. Some of them made multiple appearances in the big game and came up just short, while others never made it beyond the conference championship. The methodology, which utilized Pro Football reference approximate values, included ESPN analyzing the statistics and intangibles of players in the Super Bowl era who didn't win a ring and put together a list ranking the best of the best.

Bruce Smith is amazing and a nice nod to the Bills but sheesh. Put some respek on the rest of those guys too. Jim Kelly was a hell of a qb.

Considering what Julio Jones did in the Super Bowl to bring his team so close to winning it, I'd put him on the list.

I remember a DE (forget who, but he was good) saying that Munoz would give him advice during the game, while totally dominating him.
He said Munoz wasn't being a smart arse, that the advice was real and he implemented Munoz's advice.

it's kinda hard to make a top-10 "player" without a Super Bowl ring list, because so few can carry a team like a good quaterback can. Think of all the dominant players over the years that played for absolutely horrible teams or mediocre teams and they couldn't win a Super Bowl despite their awesomeness.

Marino is the only quarterback on the list. I would guess Jim Kelly may be next for QB's.

Marino is the obvious one.
Jim Kelly, Warren Moon and Barry Sanders would probably be next on my list. Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson would be up there.
Andre Johnson and Tony Gonzalez. Frank Gore, LT, OJ Simpson and Curtis Martin at RB. Patrick Willis, Dick Butkus and Sam Mills at LBer.

Lamar is already the ONLY multi-time MVP that has not won a championship.

Bruce Smith is probably the second greatest defensive end of all time. Jim Kelly is probably top 20ish QB. Why would Kelly need to be on there over Smith?
