If you read what Marris went through to break 60 and then Mac hug that family after he broke the record because they showed up as honorable people to pay tribute to Mac.
I mean c'mon. Only jaded Cardinal fans love him.
There is nothing to celebrate about the homerun chase of 1998 except to expose them.
I have no desire to relive a lie. We all fell in love with that chase and it wasn't what we thought it was in the end.

I welcome the lie. Steroids made the game enjoyable and i wish they were mandatory today.

I can't wait for this and don't give a shite if either of them cheated. That season was amazing entertainment. It was like watching a drawn out heavyweight fight going blow for blow down the stretch.
My first time to Wrigley was father's day that year with my dad and we watched Sosa break the record for homeruns in a month. Such a great memory.

Gaylord Perry wouldn’t last in this day and age. Cheating is part of baseball’s heritage and always will be.

Likely 75% of the league was using PHD’s in 1998. Don’t act like Sosa and McGwire were on their own. They both hit many home runs off of pitchers who were also using PHD’s.

And the best part is the Griffey Jr was hanging in there with them year in and year out and was clean. One of my all time favorites.

He’s probably a jaded Cubs fan.

I loved that season. As an Astros fan, it was bittersweet. When we traded for Randy Johnson at the deadline, I thought that was the year we would finally make it to the World Series. Then we ran into Kevin Brown and the Padres.

Kevin Brown was a badass dude. Like Jack Morris.
