Even if you don't believe that Gasol is the best C in the league seeing him at 8th should make you realize how ridiculous the whole thing is

And he just turned 20 on Sunday.
This ranking is clearly not based on future success or else Okafor would not be at #28.

Among Centers, He's 8th in PER, 8th in Value Added, 8th in Wins Added.
Through 10 games. He's good but I don't see how he gets ranked over Greg Monroe.

I think it's because he's a better basketball player.

Capela/Biyombo/etc play 18 mpg and average more than that.

Just glancing at Hollinger's statistics
Greg Monroe:
PER- 24.93
TS%- .587
Assist Ratio- 15.4
TO Ratio- 9.4
Rebound Rate- 17.5
Value Added- 72.7
KAT
PER-20.87
TS%-.548
Assist Ratio- 6.4
TO Ratio- 11.6
Rebound Rate- 20.1
Value Added-44.8
KAT is 13th in PER for centers not 8th.
Greg Monroe has a much better PER, VA, TS%. Look at KAT assist and TO ratios
Monroe also is a better offensive rebounder. Now KAT is better on the defensive side but I don't think he makes up for how much better of an offensive player Monroe is.

Jesus you two need helmets

Three phases Defense, Rebounding, Offense. If you break it down into those three simple phases of the game KAT is better at 2 of them.
Posted on 11/17/15 at 4:17 pm to RTR America
I can promise you brother lots of people would get a good laugh outta those rebounding numbers.
Posted on 11/17/15 at 4:19 pm to Boomshockalocka
Or watching Drummond, Jordan or Howard shoot
Posted on 11/17/15 at 4:19 pm to Boomshockalocka
Bet they would big guy
Posted on 11/17/15 at 4:19 pm to td01241
And that would be a very simplistic way to compare two players. Seriously dude
Also, Monroe is a better offensive rebounder.

It is very simplistic I was just saying. I like KAT a lot. Monroe is kinda meh to me.
Posted on 11/17/15 at 4:23 pm to td01241
I don't see how you can say that considering how well Monroe is playing right now. And this is without a healthy Jabari Parker to create more space.

Shaq couldn't shoot either.
Finishing ability(read: easy buckets not 50% midrange jumpers), rebounding, rim defense are all more valuable skills than having "a post move". Or making a 15 footer. That's why you see those 3 ranked above Gasol.
