So if you’re now changing the bar to “moments people care about” why are any WNBA players featured?
This is certainly an impressive demonstration of crawfishing and moving the goalposts. This has been his trajectory:
Sports moments on espn
Major golf championships on espn
People are unnecessarily mad about this
Durant being on there is ok in a Jersey for a team he’s never played on
Iconic moments on espn but it has to be nighttime/primetime
Announcers are ok as long as they are espn
Back ti golf only being major coverage
Singular iconic moments from great players are ok
College football is way underrepresented but nobody can get mad about it
It’s only a tweet, so what
College football has other promos so this is ok that they aren’t really featured
It’s not important so espn took it down and tweets don’t mean anything

I was channel surfing a few weeks ago and they were showing a contest of 2 guys tossing a football onto the roof of a house trying to hit a roof vent.

Sir, this is r/MoreSports - I’m gonna need you to check in with one of our OT Moderates before sharing your opinion about any overt virtue signaling, DEI practices, and/or the LBTQLMNOP+ bullshite being forced into sports.

Its more like "moments espn wants people to care about, be sure to tune into the wnba playoffs next month"

So not really icons at all.
You’ve certainly come a long way from your initial take lol

This is always the answer any time progressives get caught pushing propaganda. “Stop noticing”
Nailed it. Or…”why do you care so much?”

I thought that was pretty cool to be honest. Definitely looking for somewhere in my neighborhood to play.

its. a. tweet.
Yes, from the driving force in sports media. A tweet from the corporation that owns the rights to NFL network, entire bowl games, etc.
It’s laughable how they continue to be absolutely tone deaf on what their viewing audience wants and consumes.

Sometimes I can’t believe the Disney Company still exists. How can they build a machine, with assets worth as much as ESPN has, and be able to dump money into acquiring all of these sports rights. Then proceed to run the company in this outrageously cobbled together joke of a way, and still exist.

Arch Manning. 1 career start. Icon.
This is absolutely, CRINGEWORTHY!! He may end up being great, but to say he is an icon, all because of his last name, is so ESPN

They’re funded by over 30 members of the WEF, they’re not going to run out of money.

Brian fricking Windhorst being front and center was also hilarious
Windy's rise to fame fascinates me, almost as much as Kendrick Perkins's confuses me.
