ES(JW)PN- More unnecessary race focus (Heisman Trophy Related)

Uhhh....is that really a story? Does that reflect anything about the trophy or society or have any real insight into anything? Lets see....To the numbers!
Heismans in general:
Non-whites (as far as i can tell) have won 41% of all Heismans. And 60% of Heismans since Ernie Davis broke through.
QB Heismans:
Non-Whites have won 24% of all QB Heismans. And 28% of all QB Heismans since Ernie Davis.
ETA: The byline is "Does this mean black QBs are finally getting the respect they deserve?"
Wow. First of all, i like that they just co-opted Tua's race.
secondly
5 of the last 7 QB Heismans were not white.
But what about all top 3 being QBs?!
Only happened 6 times prior to this. The last 2 times a non-white QB won the award. Once over 2 white QBs and once over one non-white QB and one white QB.
I just think this article is weird. Does anyone think that non-white QBs are currently underappreciated by the Heisman Committee? Does the exclusion of any white dudes mean fricking anything? Did anyone even realize that all 3 finalist were black? I didnt. Its like we are all over here judging 3 guys by the content of their character (playing ability in this case) and ESPN jumps from the top rope to say "Shut the frick up MLK Jr!"
Im off to the archives to see if on the day of Jason Sehorn's retirement if ESPN posted content celebrating "NFL Defensive Back history: All Black guys now"

What if I told you African Americans are more successful in football?
What if I told you most of the NFL is comprised of very skilled and athletic African Americans?
What if I told you that no one cares about race in football?
On the next 30 for 30.

What if I told you that the majority of football players are black and the 3 best players are black?

You know why that article gets published?
Because people want to read it.
I think the people who read those articles are dopey, don't get me wrong, but if nobody read those articles, they would not get published.

This is racist against white people. So when are the riots and protests happening? I want to watch.

If it is the first time that all of them are of color then it is historic. I don’t think it merits a front page story. But I also don’t think it merits a long post and even research complaining about it.

Just another example of the entertainment industry and it's "type" proliferating the corporate hierarchy, and thus filtration of their agenda onto something that doesn't call for it..these barriers were long ago transcended.
Some young Libtard writer is just sad they weren't around decades ago..when the struggle was still all too real.

What a stupid fricking thing to focus on. Good Lord.
Par for the course for frickin' ESPN, though, I guess.

I like to research things. I like to have done the work that gives credence and weight to my opinions. It also took me 12 minutes.

Wow. I’m just glad we will be able to witness history being made at the heisman ceremony. Ranks right up there with Jesse Owens and Jackie Robinson. What a time to be alive.
