They fricked up the scheduling but I don't think it was ever gonna be a longterm solution. Basically just a bandaid so they have a few years between the 17th different version of NBA Countdown.

He's 70 years old, no need to blame anyone for him wanting to spend some time in retirement. He's an all-timer and one of my favorites, will be missed on air.

You don’t bring the show over for 2 seasons of Ernie Johnson which means Barkley is gone too.
Maybe this happens anyway, we’ll never know, but Ernie isn’t even retiring and explicitly said he’ll keep working for TNT. He just didn’t doing the only thing that is on espn that he’s been doing. Which, to be fair, is the biggest time commitment, but this doesn’t smell right
