This might be true to a certain degree for those places, you just have to know the law, because you can get arrested for things that we would not even consider.

We're talking about overall safety. So, yes it would include having your passport taken away and forced to work as a slave. Or be put to death for talking to locals about Christianity. Murder, robbery, and assault numbers are lower in North Korea and Cuba. There's different reasons for both, including not recording stats (Cuba) and being shot in the street if steal something (N. Korea). That doesn't make those countries safer than the US.

Your argument is the same one lefties use to get rid of the 2nd amendment. Yes, it you confiscate all guns, gun violence will go down. But that doesn't mean you're less safe.

Edit: Also, to the pasrt about us being a Christian nation. We've been stripping away Christian values for the last 3 decades. That is actually an argument that we should be more Chirstian, not that Christianity is causing more crime.
