dwight went to the finals with no help

kobe averaged 35 a game with no help but he never won anything without shaq or glen rice or pau or bynum

I know kobe has 5 rings, but he's been pretty lucky to be a superstar who had help....dwight is getting that help now

That's what happens when you lose your best player right before the playoffs. Nash might as well have missed the series too.

Nash basically missed the first third of the season and the Lakers went 28-12 the last half of the season. I'm not saying they weren't big disappointments, but they looked they had put it together in time for the playoffs.

Even if Pau, Nash, and Kobe were healthy throughout the season, they still had no bench. The Lakers would have never been in contention.

Name me any superstar ever who has won a championship on his own. You can't and I never said Kobe did..

dwight went to the finals with no help

So this is his biggest claim to fame?

UMrealist are you kidding that I can't name a superstar who won it on his own?

look up the 1993-94 houston rockets

hakee olajuwon
otis thorpe
robert horry
vernon maxwell
kenny smith
sam cassell
scott brooks
Carl herrera
mario elie

that's the rotation i remember off the top of my head....who helped dream? He got clyde next year and won it again!

just stop already, you just proved you're beyond uninformed.

You really don't know much about basketball. You are embarrassing yourself.

Do you realize how good those guys were?

Cassell also helped get Minnesota to the wcf late in his career.

Robert Harry was very good as was Kenny smith and Vernon maxwell.

Mario Ellie was good as well.

were they superstars? Absolutely not, every team has great role players, Hakeem was the only all star on that team. Cassell was a rookie that year.

Otis Thorpe was a 15 and 10 guy FWIW

Having an extra superstar on the team isn't the only way to have "help".. You can't just discount a team going on an incredible run with great play (shooting, defense, roleplay, etc...). The Spurs almost won the Finals this year bc of Danny Green averaging 18 ppg and i dont think anybody ever would consider him a superstar. Nobody does it alone

You're backtracking. First it was

quote:

he's been pretty lucky to be a superstar who had help

now "help" = another superstar?
