Shame on them for caving and forcing Huggins to resign.

To be fair, that's the way it should be. Driving a vehicle while blackout drunk is far worse than mean words.

Happened in Pennsylvania. WV cops would have looked the other way and taken care of their own.

They had to terminate him!

He had multiple screw-ups. He was representing the university in a very public position. How would it reflect on them if they gave him another chance and he goes out and does something really stupid while drunk?

There has to be some standards in this world.

You use that word so much that it has lost all meaning. Huggs deserved to be fired, he could have killed someone.

And the vehicle he was pounding beers in was leased by the university.

That's a major potential liability for WVU especially if this issue had come up with him before while he was employed by them, which is likely.

He also had a DUI that lead to him leaving Cincinnati back in the day.

Pray tell me, what in the wide world of sports is “woke” about canning someone who blew a .210 while driving a university vehicle on the public roads who has a track record of doing this? I’m no teetotaler or temperance worker, I like a nip myself, but there is no inherent libertarian right to be driving on the public roads of the United States blowing a .210 BAC. In the year 2023, it would be problematic for Saban to keep his job if he got busted for that.

And he is a pretty big guy. So he must have been slamming them down.

He was arrested with the wife of the president of the UC Board of Regents. She was passed out in the car.
