DRT 08.10.10: NL Central Showdown, Part II

Last night's game sucked, and I don't want to dwell on it too much, but here are my brief thoughts:
1. How can you let a rookie pitcher give up 6 runs in 12 pitches and never go out to check on him? Leake was getting pounded out there, and not once did Price or even Hernandez go out there to calm him down. It was obvious that he was rattled. He proved that when he tried to run into the dugout after only getting the second out of the inning. Poor management all the way around.
2. I have a lot of respect for pretty much the entire Cardinals organization (except LaRussa). They do things the right way for the most part. That being said, Chris Carpenter came off as a total douchebag last night. If you have issues with one of your teammates, handle that shite in the clubhouse, not on the field AND in the dugout. On two different occasions, I thought Carp was going to have an aneurysm.
Anyway, the Reds need to bounce back in a big way this evening, and the pressure is on Johnny Cueto to come through. Jaime Garcia is on the mound for the Cardinals.

why would you not respect larussa?

Brendan Ryan is a total POS baseball player, so you can understand the frustration. He pulled him aside in the dugout, but I saw him lose his shite on the grounder.
I was at the gym and didn't have sound when I saw it. What happened with him and Ryan last night?

I haven't liked him since the late 80's when he was with Oakland. He's an arrogant and whining douchebag. I don't want this thread to be about him though. That's a totally different topic.

the first blowup was in the tunnel, not really the dugout. it appeared he was trying to get out of view of a camera.

He did appear to try to get out of view, but he already had the media's attention when he tried to shoot fire from his eye sockets before the first pitch even happened.
The shite with the grounder that scored a run really pissed him off, and he lost it in the dugout. I still haven't heard if he was told to play there, or if he was out of position.

Unexcusable, I want to know if someone asked baker why they didn't go talk to him.
Tonight we should write "frick off" on all the balls so when they complain about the balls, they will actually have a legitimate reason.

Carp's intensity is no secret.
Reddman, you reference LaRussa from the late 80's. Just curious, how old are you?

What frick is up with all these gay shaved heads. They look like a cult. I hope someone put on some nikes and some kool-aid in the dugout.

i havent looked at the standings lately. are the astros about 6 or 7 games out by now?

I don't think tonight's game will be anything like last night. Garcia and Cueto is a much more even pitching matchup and we all know how well the Reds hit the ball at home
