WTF are they doing? I know money is tight, but you at least have to franchise tag him.

When you have a QB so clearly built for the long haul and postseason success like Tua you have to get rid of some guys to break the bank for him.

He'll get a lot of money from somebody.

I'll be interested to see what kind of deal Devin White can get. He had some really good years in Tampa and is still ultra athletic but he also just got benched in Tampa's late season playoff run.

White isn’t that hot of a commodity, has all the physical tools but apparently takes horrible angles etc and the football nerds hate his play.

He does run himself out of plays constantly with bad angles.

Miami must clear $31.6 million in cap space before March 13 while facing a number of key players potentially leaving for free agency.

wasn’t exactly a secret through his college and high school days he wasn’t the biggest gym rat/ student of the game in the facility. More of the type to do enough to get by. Not calling him lazy he just never went above and beyond. I could see it catching up with him. Still a damn good run though

Is this your favorite quote from the Bible?
1 Peter 1:6-7 6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
In 1 Peter 1:6-7, the New Living Translation (NLT) states:

“So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold.” 1

This passage encourages believers to find joy despite facing trials and tribulations. Just as gold is refined by fire, our faith is tested and purified through challenges, ultimately leading to praise, honor, and glory when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Franchise tags are one of the things that actually are hard to make happen without cap space

I think the dolphins had one of the lowest amount of cap spaces in the league and also were dead last in available money to push around for more cap space, so they are pretty limited in what they can do without a lot of work elsewhere with other player contracts

By the time the playoffs rolled around they had like 5-6 starters missing on D. A healthy Dolphins team would likely have ended the regular season and playoffs much better than they did.

But wouldn't have gotten the 1 seed so they would've had to go somewhere cold then lost that game.

This is a dumb take, we lost 3 of our best defensive players to season ending injuries. We likely beat the bills at home to end the season and get the Steelers at home to start the playoffs

I am a huge fan of Wilkins and would be a massive loss to lose him.

Nah. The Dolphins and Cowboys had one of the easiest schedules in the NFL besides the Saints and falcons. They both feasted on bad teams and were exposed in the playoffs. Simple as that.

Why? That defense cost them football games the entire year. Miami gives up a 13-point lead with about 3 minutes in the game, at home, against the offensively challenged Titans. That win alone would have given them the inside track to the division.

The DC is turned loose again after being here for only a season. The Dolphins have got to get a DC that can coach this team and players that can run his system. So far all the Dolphins have proven is that 2 wrongs don't make a right.

Schefter said he expects him to get 25M. He’s really good but that’s Chris Jones type money, they’re better off taking the comp pick if he’s getting that contract.

best they're going to get from comp picks is a 3rd round pick, but they could have done like Chiefs are doing w/ Sneed and tagged & traded him
