I definitely agree that barstool sucks at pretty much every level these days, but I thought that was an odd tweet to highlight when I saw that tweet. Chaps has been doing that same exact bit on Twitter for like a decade now. Which I think speaks to a bit of their issue in a way, but that’s been a pretty consistent running joke for him for a long long time, so not the best sign to point to of the ship going downhill
Maybe speaks more to people eventually wearing out of the same joke/content being rehashed over and over. Not really related to chaps here but once you go through a couple cycles of the typical barstool attention drives, you start seeing more and more how much of it is so manufactured and it’s basically like a reality show with less interesting people and with an HR department. They’ve been doing the same “this employee hates the other employee” drama farming playbook for like 25 years now

Would love to see Barstool parodied on something like Eastbound and Down.

I wonder how the whole Barstool Outdoors with Sydney Wells thing came about. Did they approach her or did she approach them? It’s on odd fit. I’ll check out her vids on YT every now and then because I like her father’s show.

Yep Portnoy is becoming who he’s been fighting with the last 20 years. He got rich and became a miserable prick who if you don’t agree with him on something he will whine and cry and try to humiliate you. Kirk Minihahe (the guy he’s arguing with) is a hot head but he’s 100% right on this argument.

It’s funny seeing guys like Dave and others similar who can’t see the tsunami sized public opinion shift happening on Israel from all sides. The smart grifters/public attention seekers in that realm like Piers Morgan have already started repositioning themselves on that issue because they can read the tea leaves
