Do you think Saquon Barkley is being over-hyped?

I think he's a solid back but PSU hasn't really played anyone yet. I just don't think he's what he's being hyped up to be.

No. He has earned his hype. This is not a Reggie Bush ESPN created hype. He deserves it.

He can do it all. He's scored TDs this year running, passing, receiving, and returning and it's only halfway thru the season

Best RB since AP or Bush IMO.

Just like Reggie Bush, I think the "all purpose yards" stat they put up is the overrated part.

They'll say that "He had 258 all purpose yards this week!" But in reality, he ran for 115, had 40 yards receiving, and then had 103 return yards on 4 kicks. A kick returner can average 20 yards a return in his sleep, and then they tack on those yards to an ordinary performance to make it sound like he did something super-human.

This is why I think he's a tad overrated, fwiw.

I'm not sure he's a better RB than Fournette.

Reggie averaged 8.7 YPC his Heisman year. Barkley is averaging 6.5.

Barkley has been killing it in the passing game. But don’t act like Reggie was some scrub ESPN created into a Heisman winner.

Obviously overhyped. I can't believe Penn State fans are claiming him to be better than Kijana freaking Carter.

You are such an idiot. It baffles me how anyone can be such a terrible poster across so many topics.

So only a player who does one thing well should get hyped up?

He can do more things than Fournette and doesn't have the injury problems.

No, but I am more impressed with a RB that had a 200 rushing yard day than a guy who had 250 all purpose yards but 125 of it was on kick returns. Unless one of them was a TD.

Sure, but as a running back, he doesn't run the ball better than Fournette.

He certainly catches better out of the backfield, but LF is no slouch at that.

The return game is irrelevant to me because if he's as good as he's hyped to be as an NFL prospect(I think he is) he's not going to be returning kicks or punts in the NFL, he's too valuable for that.
