Should have any respect for this win... Yeah they beat em by a lot but I'm pretty sure if the momentum wasn't taken from Indy (touchdowns called back etc.) by the refs that indy never would have rushed atouchdown hence the "pinball pick6" it's horrible how these refs protect these teams

Iowa would lose to Florida, so that is why I would rank them behind LSU.

can't argue with the fact that they win......IMO, no big ten team ever deserves to be in the big game.......they have proven that they do not belong year after year. keep your roses and play for that. the bcs is for the big boys.

i think college football is so controversial that you almost have to have a year to year resume' to make a big impact. a team with one random year of good football will not make a big impact on the nation....not a big enough one (auburn). if you look at the top teams, they were all very successful last year. iowa, lsu, and oregon are a step behind the others.

Iowa is pretty garbage. They have squeaked out wins for 3 straight weeks then they looked terrible in the first half against a Big 10 bottom feeder. In the SEC they'd be on par with Auburn this year.

their QB, was horrible in the 3rd Quarter.."against a strong wind" and then had a great 4th....

having said that and having watched the game, the officials certainly changed the momentum of the game by canceling a touchdown for Indiana that "another official with PERFECT position" had called a touchdown.

we will never know, but it certainly makes an emotional difference going into the 4th down by 10, vs. down by 17.

If I recall, LSU squeaked out some wins against some garbage teams. If Iowa goes undefeated, they would have beaten some pretty good teams such as Penn State and Ohio State. Hate to say it, but I think an undefeated Iowa team makes the BCSCG over a one loss SEC team.

I would like to add though that I don't think Iowa remains undefeated as Ohio State should take care of them at the Shoe.

Penn St: Ohio State: " pretty good teams ???

Herbie, is that you ?

NEITHER HAS BEATEN A RANKED opponent this year.
Penn state has not played any
Oh St has played 1 USC and USC won....
then we saw USC yesterday..so how good are they ??

I do not yet have any real indication that either of those 2 teams is pretty good.

It has nothing to do with how good you are but instead what you do. Look at LSU, we were not great at the beginning of this year but we won and our ranking was much higher than it should have been had we been ranked on how good our team was at the time.

What I want to know is what happens to the A-holes that took the legit touchdown away from Indiana!!! His foot clearly, crystal clearly dragged in the endzone, you could see the change in color of the endzone turf. How they had solid evidence that it wasn't a touchdown will forever be a mystery.

But in the end Iowa ended up kicking there arse and you might be able to take away that one bad call and make the game closer but Iowa waxed them down the stretch.

Iowa is terrible. I am PRAYING that iowa can win out...they will never jump florida or bama and Texas...i would love to see a 12-0 Iowa get USC'd by Oregon.

Don't you think all these teams you have named are relying on the past for the "decent team title" they always start out the season as a so called decent but genuinly colapse... So putting Penn state and all these media favorite losing teams and comparing them to a decent sec team isn't valid

Ohio State beat Wisconsin by 18.

And how do we know LSU is a pretty good team, then? They haven't beaten any ranked teams.

I agree. I hope Iowa can win that game but if history is any measure, OSU will back in again.

LSU either..

and don't say Georgia because a 3 loss doesn't count as a "ranked" opponent.

When I hear ranked opponents, I look at where they're currently ranked, not where they were. It's like USC arguing they beat the #4 team in the nation when they beat Ole Miss. You find out how good teams really are as the year goes on and more and more games are played. Ohio State has a better record against the current top 25 than LSU.
