Iowa ranked higher than LSU?

Iowa is ranked higher than Ole Miss, Auburn, Kansas State, Hawaii, Utah(and over 100 other teams), but (again) what does that have to do with Iowa looking like arse and still climbing in the rankings?

I thought we were talking about how crappy Iowa was and not how LSU hasn't proved itself.

What does LSU have to do with Iowa looking like garbage?

The guy said if Iowa wins out, they'll deserve to go to the NCG, because they'll have beaten pretty good teams like OSU and PSU, and remained undefeated.

The other poster responded that OSU and PSU aren't good, because they haven't beaten ranked teams (which is untrue about OSU, anyway).

So I responded that he must not think LSU is good, then. If he agrees LSU isn't pretty good, because they haven't beaten a ranked team (which I bet he doesn't), then I'll take my point away. If he doesn't, then he's a hypocrite, and whether he wants to admit it or not, OSU and PSU (both on the road, as well) are pretty good teams.

No but we held the #1 offense in the nation to 13 points.... Reguardless let's see what we do against bama before you start dogging lsu buddy

Since you wanna talk about how many points..

LSU offense = Charleston Southern Offense
Both put up 3 points vs Florida...

Troy, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi State, and Georgia offense >>>>>>>>> LSU ?
because they put up more than 3 points vs Florida?

If he thinks LSU is a national title contender then he's an idiot. Just like anyone arguing that Iowa is a national title contender is (in my eyes) an idiot. They looked downright dreadful. The only other #4 team that was worse was Ole Miss. LSU was highly over rated at #4 but at least they haven't needed miracles to win against scrubs.

ETA: and add tot he fact that LSU still has potentially the hardest part of it's schedule coming up and then LSU can be brought into the conversation. Iowa has seen the meat of it's schedule and it was made of hotdog not steak.

There's a huge difference between being a national title contender and being one of the two best teams in the country. Iowa is certainly a national title contender. Nothing idiotic about making that statement.

Iowa is no better than Auburn, Ole Miss, or Arkansas.

While my statement is harsh I do believe that if Iowa were put up against any of the top ten teams in the National Championship Game then I believe it would be a blow out. Thus I personally think considering them a contender to the championship as idiotic as there is no way they would win. everyone is free to disagree of course.

I agree wholeheartedly with your opinion here. But they are unbeaten and probably ranked in the top four with two home games remaining against a couple of mediocre teams and a road game in Columbus against a less than impressive OSU. They are very much in contention to play for an NC. What they are not is one of the two best teams in college football.

I agree anyone saying Iowa is one of the two best teams in the country is either an idiot or an Iowan. But its legit to refer to them as a contender simply because they're in a position to contend. Let's hope OSU can take them out of that position in a couple of weeks.
