*yet
If we have no intention of rostering them, there cutting ties and ensuring that never happens should be a relatively simple process.

Do you want LSU to unroster them even harder?
Just make the status permanent and irrevocable. If we have no plans on rostering them, we lose nothing.
Spending nothing to gain everything is the rational choice.

I’m sorry, but when I read that the SEC specifically cites Kiffins halftime comment, media reports about him urging them to the sue the league, and asking for an apology, that screams petty bullshite to me and not grounds for expulsion. And I would push back against all of that, which LSU has not done.
I’d test kicking us out the league for being mean in court and I’m so over any court case. If the sec wants their pound of flesh for petty and vindictive reasons, then lawyer up because that’s not how society fricking works.

You’ve repeated this several times. What do you want LSU to do exactly? They aren’t on the roster. There are no ties currently. You just keep repeating it

Can they be rostered in the future? If yet, then the ties aren't cut.

So add two players to fill the roster?

Why do y'all keep playing this silly game like these 2 players aren't the issue?
Because there is a massive hypocrisy from the sec. They didn’t have this reaction to Bama when they played a pro player.
They haven’t had this reaction to the various players and teams that recruited and rostered mini camp rejects because that’s somehow different than training camp rejects. Not to mention other sec teams also recruited these two kids. They didn’t have the same reaction to the Chambliss situation and his asinine redshirt fir tonsillitis ((which his old school didn’t even support as true).
None of these kids should be playing but the sec is losing their shite over this situation and LSU. Perhaps all the other situations have lead to them putting their foot down finally. But it just seems like Sanky is massively butt hurt about court last week where he was a bumbling moron and Lane trolling him with his halftime comment/joke.

Exactly. We would remedy this by fixing that for LSU
If any other school wants the smoke, they can take the -EV decision. We don't need to be the dumb ones

Yes

So you are saying we are forced to sign two random players and pay for them?
You are being a fricking idiot

No, but life has become so bizarre it wouldn’t surprise if they did and replaced LSU with Tulane and University of the South ( Sewanee)

He’s taking the position that the juice isn’t worth the squeeze(heard that phrase enough?). And he’s not wrong. But it’s not logical to say LSU needs to do anything that every other school doesn’t.
Threaten every sec school with this shite if they have a player with a TRO. Sounds good to me.
And it’s personal beef driving it

I'm trying to avoid whataboutism, but I don't think any team was as blatant about it as LSU, especially the reports we were contacting them while they were still in NFL camp. The stories about someone from LSU contacting someone on the Browns about Wright were terrible optics. If LSU can be proven to have actively recruited those guys, it not only removes all of the "the suits are from the players" arguments, but it also severely increases the potential penalties for LSU down the road.

Basically the entire country is losing their shite over this situation with LSU. The pro-LSU side is the extreme minority. It's not just a Bama or SEC thing.

I think that’s his whole schtick

Nowhere did I say or imply that.

Having people mis-state my arguments has become tiresome.

The entire country is certainly not taking the sec side on today’s reports

Exactly. None of these TRO kids should be eligible
Why is this situation with these two kids eligibility any different that the mini camp rejects or Chambliss.
It’s not which begs the question why the the sec caring so much about this situation

You implied it by saying LSU should remedy their open roster spots

The specific nature of their relationship to NFL teams clearly crossed the rubicon for basically everyone other than LSU.
Chambliss in particular isn't really relevant, as he never had any association with any professional team.
