It is amazing how close they get the spreads to the actual outcome.

This and Auburn LSU 2006 are the only two sporting events where I really thought there was nefarious and crooked shite going on.

I just watched the 30 for 30 with Bush's first pitch last night.

You think Arizona beats the Yankees in the bottom of the 9th in game 7 of the World Series less than 2 months after 9/11 in a sports fixing world?

Yes, I've watched Tom Ritter referee Alabama games.

My dad always thought the NFL was fixed through Vegas and sports booking via officiating.... Who really knows....?

It could never be fixed through players.. Way too many disgruntled individuals out there...

i really don't think they're fixed or that coaches pay any attention to the spread, but let me share this story. Around 2001 or so, my friend and I who were both gamblers, we're talking in a crowded club here in BR. My friend was going on and on about how he thought coaches played the spread and called plays accordingly. I kept calling bullshite and saying there was no way a coach making the kind of money they do would pay attention to what Vegas says. Well, this really hot girl that was standing next to me suddenly turned around, pointed at me, and said "you're wrong, coaches definitely play the spread". Of course I questioned her asking how the hell she would know such a thing and she replied that her husband played many years in college and the NFL and was convinced coaches play the spread. Being doubtful, I asked who her husband was and she said Tom Rathman from Nebraska Cornhuskers and the SF 49ers. She then whipped out her ID which showed her last name of Rathman and a SAn Fran address.

Not saying that they do or don't, but that definitely opened my mind up to the idea that it may be a factor. Still doubtful though.

Alberto Del Rio coming back to beat John Cena on Sunday night in less than 10 minutes w/ a clean finish after a straight kick to the face, after months and months of Cena kicking out of every one else's finishers repeatedly.
shite has to be fixed.

it ultimately comes down to the fact that the NFL, NBA, etc has way too much to lose if it ever comes to light that they are fixing games. its just not worth it for them to do it

That's my belief as well. Nothing to gain, and everything to lose.

Yes. It is painfully obvious.

Sports is entertainment. Period. Don't ever forget that.
