Soccer fans are so intelligent, unique , and edgy. Clearly your average person is just too dumb to understand it. Those 3rd world countries are just full of Mensa members, that's why it's do popular there

I hate the NBA. HATE IT. I hate 2 on 2 basketball. I hate the announcers. I hate seeing the bazillion tatoos on people who can barely speak english (as their first language). There is nothing I like about the sport.
But, I never say a word about it. I just don't watch it. I never say the nba is for pussies, i never conmplain about the "D- Fense" chant that EVERY ARENA does, yet no one in the stands over the age of 10 repeats unless it's the forth quarter of the finals, I never bitch about the average number of passes/possesion is less than 4, etc.
So why does "cool ani soccer guy" bitch about a sport 2 billion people are watching? Maybe he feels threatened about his precious "football"- where a mere couple hundred million watch "the biggest game on earth.... er... America". Nationalism at it's best

Heard a good point on the radio the other day. When England scored 4 minutes into the game, pretty much everyone said..."Well, this game is over" or "Now we're just playing for a tie."
Any sport where the best you can hope for when less than 5% of the game has been played is a game that I hate.
Also, people tell me that they hate baseball all the time. Why should I give a crap? I'm still gonna watch it and I don't think they're idiots, I just think they hate it...cause, ya know...that's what they said.

I knew we were still cool, meatpie.
On-topic... a while back I came to the realization that I don't have the time or desire to follow every sport known to man. So now it's pretty much baseball, football, and occasionally a big event like the World Cup. I'm happier this way.

Why do soccer fans get so defensive when people don't like it?
