too many crappy womens matches to sit through anyway.
The athleticism in general is just insane across the board now a days. One of the Samoans was doing shite only the Hardy boys were doing just 10-15 years ago. Really impressive.

I thought Netflix just got the right recently? Was that a one year deal or something?
Netflix won the bid for Monday Night Raw. And if I’m remembering right I think WWE and NBCUniversal struck some kind of one-off deal to let them have a stream for, I think, Royal Rumble as part of Raw’s debut on Netflix back in January.

My kids are all of WWE fandom age and I loved it as a kid/teenager in its 90s heyday.
It is WILD what whores they have become over the past year or so. Sponsors on the turnbuckles/ring/ringside/even on the tables used in matches now, each match being sponsored by shite, 15 minutes of ads during these live events, more and more events in Saudi Arabia each year.
Then they can’t help but tell you just how fake it is immediately after it goes off the air in their “post shows.” It’s like they want everyone to be this smart internet fan who is inside the business instead of just letting their main audience enjoy it for what it is.
I get it but it seems like pro wrestling’s campy soul has just been sold.

I'll probably upgrade to the new app since I'm already paying around $20 for the ESPN/Disney/Hulu bundle so it'll just be $10 more. I'm already saving a bunch by using an IPTV service so I can splurge a little bit. I barely watch right now but my little girl is almost at an age where she's interested. Every now and then I'll catch her watching the matches for a few minutes.

It’s over. Greed will get you every time… I was great with the peacock package.. not watching anymore PLE. My question is will the replays still be available on peacock???

I am already paying for Peacock and ESPN+. Those are the only two streaming services I have. I had figured ESPN's standalone package would be worth it since I'd be able to get SEC Network (and SECN+) with it. Even better with WWE. The only complaint I have is what I'm sure will be more ads during RedZone. Can't imagine with them adding NFL and WWE that the price won't eventually go up, though.

Yeah, good times. Right back at us now.

Raw was on USA. Nitro on TNT. With a few other shows scattered amongst TBS, UPN, and Fox. Every movie store had a wrestling section with videos of past PPVs presented by Coliseum Video. Life was simple.

Yeah this is why I don’t think it’ll ever still reach the heights in popularity it did when I was a kid during the Monday night wars. The internet just has too much shite out there telling you it’s staged so they have to embrace that too I guess.
There’s still clearly a market for it but it’s not a part of pop culture like it once was.

So I can pay $30 for ESPN to get college football and $16.99 for DAZN for boxing once PPV model goes away.
Not bad since I don't have to have YouTubeTV anymore

Honestly I’d gladly pay for the ppvs every once in awhile if they just rolled out match after match like they did back in the day.
Now it’s obviously “cheaper” on peacock but there are like 5 matches and about 90 mins of ads/filler/pointing out g list celebrities in the crowd.
