This is me. I’ve lived and breathed for NFL football for 30 years. This year, I watched the Saints vs Bears and Saints vs Tampa Bay (only half, I had a girl over).

I went to sleep early the night of the Super Bowl, didn’t watch a single play.

I just don’t care anymore. Not for the League, and not for the Saints. After the Drew Beees incident and the lack of loyalty to him by a single member of the organization, I don’t care if they win or lose.

I’ve had a Saints cap ALWYS for the last 30 years. I have 10 Saints sweatshirts and Tees. Never again. I’m done.

I know I’m not even a drop in a barrel and I don’t expect to be missed, but a walk around the park and drive around the city of Houston has become my Sunday’s routine.

There is just too much in this country to keep the masses entertained and folks are learning quickly about how to get the specific content they really like. It's like a 10-year-old standing in the middle of Baskin Robbins and the guy is telling you, you can have it all. I'll take it.

Disney's worst nightmare is happening. They got into sports wanting to use the leverage to showcase their other assets to the perfect audience. Dads and young men are a target for them. Surely that would get more exposure to the theme parks and Disney's other profit centers.
Then came along BLM, kneeling issues, anthem disrespect, etc And they chose to listen and follow that moron Roger Goodell and the NFL members, instead of listening to their boss, the fans. They laughed it off at the time thinking "fans will just have to accept it, it's the NFL, what are they gonna do?" It took some time, but we, the fans, have hit them where it hurts...the bottom line. An added bonus is that their brand has taken a HUGE hit. I wouldn't knowing spend a dollar on a Disney product ever again.
I probably watched 40 + games per year for 30 years. This year I watched 3 Saints games and the Superbowl
They've been exposed, just like the NBA. I really can't imagine spending a dime on any NBA related products. They treated normal everyday paying customers like dog shite.
I took some time, but the fan's anger over cheap publicizing of irrelevant social bullshite and liberal driven agendas has beat these leagues down.
Its like a big time successful crack dealer. Last thing you want is to run out of the addictive drug for 2 months and give half of your customers time to kick the habit and focus their money on different products.
And thats what we did. We showed them that they don't own us, we own them.

Couldn’t have said it better myself

Good job men! Keep it up

Yep,they showed em all right!

The NFL is the most successful pro sports league in the history of sports and had $16 billion in revenue in 2019.

I detest the SJW garbage as much as the next fan but to say that the NFL is somehow circling the drain is absurd.

Disney is irrelevant in this discussion BTW and the future of all televised sports are the streaming services and Facebook,Google and Netflix dwarf Disney in terms of net worth.

Disney doesn't want to pay so much for a property (MNF) that their own ABC/ESPN people have run into the ground.

Lol 1.9 million for the trash games they get on Monday. Can't remember the last time they had a meaningful game.

You telling me I’m wrong only reaffirms that I am correct.

But humor me old top, what is wrong about my statement?

Thats because the TV deals were a set figure. And thats what they are negotiating right now.
Give me stats on viewer #s
Thats what advertising cares about and pays for. If viewership is down, tv money will follow.
Disney will lose out if they pay any more than this year.
And if viewership is down, so is merchandise sales...way down

I'm good with it shrinking. Salaries are ridiculous, and the wokeness became cartoon like. Time for them to come back to earth.

And? Is that set figure increasing or decreasing?

Wanna take a guess?

ESPN just paid 6X what CBS paid for the SEC GOTW.You think that viewership was increasing or decreasing?
