I was asking a question. Why do you think he is not a "warrior" in your mind?

The only thing that takes away from his game is his lack of defensive acumen. Erick Dampier/Brendan Haywood would be completely useless if Dirk thought he could handle being an offensive genius while actually guarding the best big on a team.

Dirk is a 4...those other guys are centers. Why would Dirk guard the other team's center?

ETA: He is pretty bad on Defense..that is a given

he plays a very finesse version of a big, he flops, he complains as much as anyone in the league, and his defense can be very weak

He is one of the all time great Power Forward in the history of the league...so the "finesse" thing sorta works for him. While he does rain jumpers all day, he does get to the line moreso than most in the league (which usually comes thru him driving the lane).

He does flop...no argument there, but so does half the league.

His defense is very weak. This to me is his major weakness.

i'm not talking about his skills. he's as good as they come, but the way he plays and the way he acts wouldn't put him anywhere near being a "warrior"

He plays a game NO other big can play. He gets his rebounds and takes the ball to the hole as well.

he flops

You dont watch basketball if you think he flops. Almost NEVER does this.

No there are many worse complainers.

Finesse doesnt describe his game. He does whatever he thinks it takes to win.

Duncan and Gasol are power forwards. McDyess and Bynum are the centers for Spurs and Lakers respectively.

I'm not a Mavs fan but the hate Dirk gets for being soft is a joke.

I think we all know that Duncan is a center. He is listed as a 4...will get into the Hall as a 4...but that dude is a Center. (post Admiral)

Maybe Dirk will pull a Finley and take a huge paycut to join the Spurs so he can win a ring

Finley did just the opposite. Cuban paid him $51 million dollars to leave. It kept Dallas from having to pay the luxury tax on Finley's salary.

DALLAS — Michael Finley was waived late Monday night by the Dallas Mavericks, who took advantage of a one-time amnesty provision that will allow them to avoid luxury taxes on the $51.8 million owed their captain over the next three seasons.

If you really think Dirk has a skill set anywhere close to Duncan and Gasol you are an idiot.

The only thing in common is he is tall. I would say he is much closer to a Kevin Durant, but taller.
