Joe West is an awful ump and has been for decades, but if you watch coverage of the game, you'll see the ejection was for yelling at the umps. A few players said they could hear it. No players,coaches/managers, or any of the parties involved are saying the ejection was for not wearing a mask. West is undoubtedly awful at his job and the ejection is petty at best.
