Seems to be belt to the knees these days and even the network graphics show belt to knees instead of mid chest to the knees

They’re definitely going to start doing it to encourage guys to pitch down and in theory more balls in play

I feel like it’s been belt to knees for some time.

It depends on the pitch. They’ll call curveballs higher strikes than fastballs.

Depends on the umpire, unfortunately. Joe West's strike zone changes by the pitch.

I’m sure Angel Hernandez’ strike zone is like Schrodinger’s Cat. It’s both a strike and not a strike until he makes a blind guess at what really happened.

I’ve seen plenty of called strikes at the letters.

Good luck trying to figure out balls and strikes at any point in a game.

I’ve been watching baseball for more than 45 years, and I can easily say MLB umpiring is the worst it’s ever been. Furthermore, on top of the incompetence, umpiring is affected by personal grudges toward certain players more than ever. It’s blatantly obvious every day.

The quality of the game as a whole is the worst I've ever seen.
