Iowa State is about to finish 4-8, and they are getting butt raped by TCU. He was all the rage 3 or so years ago. Is he a good coach having a bad year? Is he just a mediocre coach? Should he have taken the money and went to a bigger program the last couple of years? Was he even offered by a big program? Discuss

Yes, he turned down a NFL offer

I don't know what Iowa State is paying, and I know money isn't everything, but that's pretty dumb

won't be getting any offers now. 4-8 from supposedly a good coach is pathetic.

Teams are allowed to have down seasons. Especially at Iowa State.

The fact that we’re even talking about Iowa State underperforming at 4-8 is a testament to his coaching chops.

The line between a good and bad coach is razor thin

Maybe y'all should watch the games

The state of Iowa cannot play offense. Iowa state has a great D that has been utterly wasted this year. RS freshman QB with a true freshman backup. Lost breece hall to the NFL. It's been a rough year, but it's a young team.

I'm not saying he's good or bad. Just asking questions to see what others think. I do know he's went 7-6,9-3,7-6, and 4-8 the last four years. That's 27-23. That's not a great coach. That's an ok coach.

Iowa St.literally is completely new on the offensive side of the ball.

Campbell is a very good coach

Look at what he inherited and then look at what Iowa state is historically.

This is such a dumb take.

Still, a great coach would do better there. He's an ok coach. That's not a dumb take. His record is mediocre.

I’m with you. He’s ok. I think what Chris Klieman is doing at Kstate is impressive.

Wut lol

Iowa St has been pretty good the last 20 years. 4-8 is a testament to how he’s not living up to the hype.
