Aaron admitted to using Greenies, which makes him a hypocrite.

or when at the age of 35 you hit a career high of 49 homers then the next year you add 24 to that for 73. when most people slow down due to age, you hit your prime!

Aaron did something similar at age 39.

he hit his career high pace in homers at 40 in only 392 ABs. at that pace with 600 ABs he would have hit 61 HRs when his previous best was 45 HRs in 592 ABs at age 28 and 44 Hrs in 631 ABs at age 29

This would be a good point if it was correct. Don't use incorrect stats to prove a point.

Hank Aaron did not use steroids.
He generated tremendous bat speed for a smallish guy due to genetically freakish forearms. You can't see it on TV or video but I saw him up close in person in the late 60s. Big bi-ceps and shoulders are noticeable on TV but not muscular forearms.
The forearms generate wrist snap and that = bat speed.

Also, HA did not hit majestic home runs like a guy on steroids. Most cleared the wall by less than 50 feet.

Also, as HA aged the teams he played for brought the fences in during the off season to get him to the Ruth record.

It is correct

40/392=.102
.102x600=61.2

47 was a typo because i was looking up numbers. My math used 40

I'd imagine 99% of all home runs clear the wall by less than 50 feet. But I hear your point.

And I think Bonds is the greatest ever, but I think PJ is on to something with Aaron. For whatever reason--maybe it's the record he's known for or the fact that he wasn't flashy like Mays and more workmanlike--but Hank Aaron is severely underrated as an all-time great overall baseball player. The younger guys--myself included--who just associated him with 755--lose sight of just how great of a player he was. He's in the discussion for GOAT.

Greenies were similar to an energy boost.

There's a huge difference in loading up on Red Bull than injecting and cycling with muscle builders to add mass.

And if you are going to bust Hank for greenies, then you can bust a shitload of NFL HOFers, and a shitload of baseball HOFers from Hank's time.

i guess everyone that achieves so much more success than others should just be removed from HOF of all sports.. phenoms don't exist.. it's all drug related..

hank aaron was never a 50+ homer guy.. but he was a very steady 30-40s homer guy his ENTIRE career.. up until his last 3 seasons where he started to tail off.
