The Texans have been searching for their franchise QB since their inception in 2002. They finally nailed it in the draft and found their guy, and now he wants out after his 3rd full season.

And after just 1 bad season. They were 10-6 and 11-5 the two previous seasons. It’s not like they’ve been the Bengals.

Who the frick said that?

They won a playoff game and were up fricking 20 in the divisional round

Its hilarious how much we are coddling all the "tough times" Watson has faced. Dude has had a very easy road for a highly drafted QB

Then everyone is a pussy

Making the playoffs 2 out of your first 3 years as a full time starter is a dream scenario for a high pick QB

I guess Burrow and Hebert should be requesting Trades

They have 1 million times the "adversity" of Watson

It’s pretty obvious the culture inside the Texans is toxic and a nightmare if you follow what former players and every news story says about them. I don’t think anyone is arguing it’s solely on the field problems that are causing this.

Please stop phrasing it like he was Blake Bortles just along for the ride

You forgot to add that he willingly signed up for 4 more years of this when he signed his extension. And that was after the disastrous Hopkins trade. I would think that anybody who had sympathy for him, no longer does.

Cesario is a Patriots guy. They don't just give things away for nothing unless the player is on the down slope of his career, which Watson is not. I can promise you Watson will not be traded unless the Texans get a king's ransom for him. This will not be another James Harden situation.

Im not you dumbass

I am saying he came into a far better team then 90% of highly drafted QBs, but we are giving him a "poor Deshaun and his terrible team" routine

And the poor little Deshaun signed the extension 4 months ago

He probably didn’t know they would hire a team chaplain to run their football operations when he signed that one

The Texans’ Patriot guys have been excellent at extracting max value from trades in the past, good point there

That was only BoB and everyone knows he is an idiot. Watson isn't going to be traded for nothing just because he is throwing a temper tantrum.

The history of the NFL has proven this is false. Teams making good decisions with good coaching can turn it around very quickly.

those teams likely had draft capital and cap space. Houston has neither

I don’t think anyone is expecting him to get traded for pick swaps

He’s going to fetch a huge haul because he’s an elite QB. I wouldn’t try to put Casserio in the hall of fame for getting value out of that trade piece

Plus how many of those teams hired Joel Osteen to run their football ops

Well Easterby was hired as executive vice president of team development in April 2019. Then promoted to executive vice president of football operations on January 28, 2020.

Deshaun Watson signed his extension on September 5, 2020. Bill O'Brien was fired on October 5, 2020.

Did he really think he'd be choosing the next GM and coach?

From what I’ve heard, he never asked to do this or asked to be involved

They offered it to him and told him they would involve him and then just didn’t do what they told him they would do.

Trying to phrase it like Watson wants to run the team is a bit disingenuous
