Nike cares. The basketball shoe market is a 4 billion dollar a year market and they just buried Adidas. Why do people think the NBA is any different than AAU when it comes to buying players?
Bruh, you're high as frick. Go to bed.

CHICAGO—Noting that he immediately knew something was wrong, Bulls point guard Derrick Rose confirmed Friday that there’s a pretty good chance he just tore his ACL by casually glancing at his knee. “I was sitting down on the couch and absentmindedly looked down for a split second, and that’s when I heard a loud pop and was suddenly in excruciating pain,” said Rose, adding that he felt the ligament snap the moment his knee came into his line of sight. “I wasn’t even really looking at the knee, per se—my eyes just sort of passed over it, and then I felt it go. I should probably get an MRI just to be sure, but it’s already swelled to twice its normal size, so I’m pretty positive I tore it.” At press time, Rose had also reportedly torn his PCL and MCL after thinking the word “knee.”

Wait, he tore his ACL sitting on the couch?

That's from The Onion. It's almost believable though

Obviously this sucks for D Rose, and you never want to see these types of injuries.
That being said, he is an average PG at this point, and at times, wel below average due to his high volume shooting with low efficiency. The Bulls probably aren't THAT worse off for the playoffs (I.e., his shots may have increased; detrimental with his inefficiency).

No it was you bringing up fricking Dwight Howard unprovoked like you bring up the Rockets/Rockets related things in almost every damn NBA related thread.
No one cares
I used to bring that up in every D-Rose thread before Howard was a Rocket. Coincidence, I tell you.

I read that and said "Damn, thats tough" to myself
Sadly, I didnt think it was out of the realm of possibilities

They have no choice to max out Butler nowadays.
Butler just made alot of $$$$

Dude needs to hang it up. He will never be a full season player
He is just taking up dollars

He should opt for the quick surgery and return in time for the playoffs. Only has so much time left on his career.
Who knows, maybe he gets surgery to remove damage, then stays healthy for a playoff run, and the Bulls surprise some people.
That would be reasonable for anybody else, but that doesn't sound like a realistic D Rose timetable.

If I were the Bulls I would use Rose sparingly next season throughout the year and then let him go at it in the playoffs. To me that will be the only way he will ever make it a full season anymore. Let him play some of the tougher games throughout the season And lay him off for the games that can be won without him, but play him enough to keep him in a bit of a groove.

At least he will always have that MVP he stole from Howard.
Softer player: Derrick Rose or Dwight Howard

He's a very unlike able guy. If you used to watch him pre injury you could tell his game wouldn't age well.
He was all about running full speed into the paint and making contact and throwing up prayers. Didn't have much of a midrange game. As soon as that first injury happened I knew he was done. His whole game was based off his athleticism.
And I think any regular basketball fan realizes he didn't deserve the MVP the year he won it, but oh well.
Still sucks to see him go down like this at such a young age. Chicago Bulls were so close to making the east competitive again.

He actually had one of the best midrange games in the league prior to injury.

He may retire. He's already stated that he worries about limping around later in life.
Most Hall of Fame Players limp.Part of it.

Just looked it up to make sure I'm not crazy.
He wasn't even in the top 20 of point guards in fg% from 10-15 ft during his MVP season.
16-23 feet was even worse.
He's never been a good jump shooter. He just an amazing finisher at the rim.

Im a bron fan... but dammit this freaking sucks! The nba is much better with rose playing. I hate when players get hurt. He is destined to be like grant hill im afraid. Grant would have been one of the best had his ankle not failed him. I hope he can make a full recovery, but im afraid we have seen this too many times with him

He's only played three full seasons, the last of which was 2011. The NBA is just fine without him.
