During one of his media stops, the former Alabama All-American revealed what he’ll be looking for in his next contract. Henry has completed his four-year, $5,407,928 contract signed after joining the Titans as a second-round selection in the 2016 NFL Draft, and he will become a free agent on March 18 if Tennessee doesn’t re-sign him by then.

“Zeke numbers is the floor,” Henry said on “The Rich Eisen Show” about his asking price.

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has the largest contract for a running back in the NFL in total value, average value and guaranteed money. After a holdout, Elliott signed a six-year, $90 million contract extension that included $50 million in guaranteed money four days before the Cowboys kicked off their 2019 season.

Derrick Henry is incredible, but that’s too much for a RB

Don't sign and get a QB. Draft a running back.

I'd usually say that's way too much, and it is, but he was the team this year.

Without him they take a massive step back.

Terrible situation for the Titans to be in

Way too much money. Especially for a system RB.

Tell him thanks for your service but absolutely not pay him that.

Derrick Henry has had only two seasons of Zeke production. Zeke produced at Zeke standards out of the gate his rookie season. And he’s a better asset in the passing game.

Henry is also a year older.

Tough to say you would just let the workout who drove your season and playoff run to just walk away, but to give him a Zeke contract seems like a huge risk at this point.

What was the cotract for 49ers rbs? And kc rbs?

I doubt he believes he gets a contract like that. Do players ever come out with a fair market value at first?

Can’t blame him for starting the bidding high. He has outperformed his contract so far.

Hope Derrick gets paid a shite ton. But overpaying for a RB is the quickest way to set your franchise back

Why not? Zeke set the market.

Yup. And for that reason, the Titans need to go back to the draft.

Zeke, Bell and Gurley are all bad situations for their teams right now. As great as Henry has played he’s likely to be an equally bad situation.

Will always be a fan of Henry, but if I’m the Titans I’d let him walk, or at least test the market. You can’t hamstring your salary cap with an RB in today’s NFL

Let him walk. You spend that $ on the O Line. RB's are a dime a dozen.

Right now I'm leaning towards the Titans placing the transition tag on him, and letting him test the open market with an opportunity to match.

If a team offers him a long term deal paying him Zeke money, you probably gotta let him walk. As a Titans fan, it pains me to say that.

Like others have already stated, as valuable as he is to the Titans, he would not be equally valuable for most NFL franchises. He needs to be the centerpiece of whatever offense he goes to in order to be really effective. He's not going to thrive in a situation where he gets 13-14 carries spread out through 4 quarters.
