Hall wanted to play safety on defense, and Bryant wanted him to play linebacker.
Hall went on to play in Canada and the AFL.

Is there a listed record for most combined yards throughout highschool, college, and NFL. If so I'd be really interested in seeing those numbers, I'm sure Henry would be extremely high up on the list.

His high school coach should be in jail for giving him 57 carries in one game

His highlights look like an NFL LB playing against a JV team

Between HS, Bama, and the NFL the dude has more mileage than maybe any 31 year old ever

He was actually criminally underused his first 2 seasons at bama and first 3 in the nfl.

He's amazing for sure. I remember a certain poster here said he was overrated.

I know. He was still calling Henry overrated at the conclusion of his 2K yard season

Players are not the exact same at every stage of their life and career. They do develop and get better with experience. Henry was a 5* recruit (the stars don’t matter crowd take note) and the #12 prospect in his class. TJ Yeldon was also a 5* and #13 in the class before Bama had 5*s out the wazoo.

Henry was a 2nd round pick and Tenn had DeMarco Murray who lead the league in rushing 2 years before and finished 3rd Henry’s rookie year. Still Henry got 110 carries. They split time his 2nd year. They had new coaches his 3rd year maybe it took him time to adjust or they didn’t use him right at first he took off at the end of that year and hasn’t looked back.

He’s also a work out warrior and apparently has a strict diet regime. That type of work ethic and discipline is probably why he is so good at an age most RB drop off a cliff.

The amount of carries he's had in college and the NFL, I never would have believed he'd last nine years

Henry being over 30 and playing at an elite level at RB is an outlie

He almost looks better than he did in Tennessee. Having Lamar as running threat helps open up a lot of space though.

He only really had a lot of carries his Jr year. He barely played at all as Freshman and split carries with TJ Yeldon as a sophomore. So he ended up with fewer career touches compared to guys like CMC, Fournette, and Zeke

Have you seen his workout and diet routine? He spends 240K a year on his body

NFL RBs have to participate in the passing game. He was very slow to develop his blocking assignments and pass routes and those are still weak points in his game (although having a very mobile QB like Lamar helps). Everybody knew he could run like a freight train, but like I said you gotta help your QB in the NFL.

I am a huge Henry fan but I would never rank him above Walter Payton for that reason. Walter was an amazing blocker and pass receiver. He could throw the ball too. Several NFL coaches have said that he had the talent and determination to play about five or six positions in the NFL. That's rare.

Pass pro is very important you can live with out him being a receiver especially as good a runner as he is but if he was liability as a blocker that may have hurt his PT early.
