According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2015 about one out of six people in the United States aged 14 to 49 have genital herpes.
The overall genital herpes statistic is probably higher, the CDC stated, genital herpes statistics are usually quoted at closer to 25 percent for women and 10 percent for men, but most of these people don’t even know they have it.

Not entirely impossible. He would have had to have slept with an average of 2 women per night for 30 years. Rock Stars get reversed gang banged on a reg so I'm sure Wilt could have pulled it off

There are like completely conflicting reports. Wilt says he slept with a crazy amount of women; his teammates say he said that to cover up the fact that he wasn't a ladies man...

Nobody knows, but there are interviews with former teammates saying he went back to his hotel room alone most of the time and he seemed uncomfortable around women but no one really thought about gay back then.
