didn’t he turn down big guaranteed money to sit and rehab with the Pels, but instead took a vet minimum to sign with Golden State, got forced to play, got injured again being rushed back, and still didn’t get a ring?

Yes, because he was butthurt that Demps wouldn’t give him max money coming off an Achilles tear.

Cousins is referring to the commonly retread critique that the Benson family, who own both the New Orleans Saints and the Pelicans, are far more concerned with the success of their NFL franchise than their NBA one.

As they should, though you wonder whether Gayle Benson actually knows she has an NFL franchise considering Mickey Loomis still has a job. This is football territory, and the Saints were here first.

He’s not wrong.

That's assuming the Saints are good. If the Saints suck again and the Pels put a winning product on the court, he will have the full support of the city. The Pels have only screwed themselves by having a shitty product on the court and media deal that makes it difficult to find for the casual fans.

Downvote away and that’s fine. I just don’t see him being anything like a 10 year starter or at least 10 year star. I get that nba all stars don’t come around every year. My wife’s a huge duke fan and I’ve watched him a good bit, Duke has a loaded team in a bad ACC. Flagg is a great player I just don’t see anything that translates to a fantastic nba player. Tons of fantastic college players burn out in the nba.

Is Flagg really expected to be a lottery pick? He seems a lot closer to someone like Tyler Hansbrough than Luka in regards to NBA potential. I just dont see him dominating the NBA with a lot bigger and talented guys.

mmmhmm, i’m sure it’s a fair assessment of his talent coming from you.

You lose a year of veteran pay, that's easily 8 figures.

These guys are getting so rich they’ll gladly do it to not be somewhere they don’t want to be

What the frick is that? I shouldn’t have to put any effort into figuring out how to watch the professional sports franchise in my local market.

At worst he’s another Iguodala, who just got off a 20ish year career.

Flagg can do a bit of everything and do it well, his ceiling is ridiculous.
