The Pelicans offered him a 1 year deal worth about 20M, with an option for the 2nd at slightly more. He decided to rehab quicker, with a better team for a chance at a title. He bet on himself. I admire that courage. When you make over 80M in your career. You can take those type of risks. Now he can do whatever he wants. I don't see the disappointment..

Those injuries... I still truly believe that Pals team with Boogie and AD could have been really special going forward. Boogie was having probably his best year of his career statistically speaking,

But tearing an Achilles, ago, and then quad. Yea he did something to piss off the basketball gods. It sucks, I hate how he left Nola, but I didn't want to see his entire career end though.

Booger had the worst on court attitude ever. He will end up catching on some other team but no tears for him right now.

When or how was that ever going to happen? Davis obviously wanted out a long time ago and Cousins knew it. The Pelicans would have paid Cousins a ton of money and he probably would have gotten injured during rehab or shortly after he came back. Everything worked out best for the Pelicans. I don't understand the sour feelings from our fans. We gambled trading for a pending FA and he walked. That's the free market.

Was a stat machine in Sacramento but had a terrible team and due to an unfortunate series of events,

Yeah, he did always fill up the stat sheet well, even in New Orleans, but it seemed to me the efficiency did not always line up with the numbers.

I can remember him leading the NBA in turnovers at one point which one would think hard to do for a big man who is not a primary ball handler.

His dribble, spin, lose the ball and flop to the ground then stay at the offensive end arguing with the ref for a foul was a common occurrence.

Someone will take a chance on him next season.

Possibility of Lakers resigning him in the offseason is there. He'll be rehabbing with Lakers staff so they'll have the first look at what he's capable of.
