People claiming the kid needs to be suspended for that hit don’t seem to be also asking for Shadeur Sanders to be suspended for a ridiculously cheap shot trying to poke Kamara in his eyes after the play.
If you want the CSU player suspended, Sanders has to be out too.

It was definitely a late hit, definitely unnecessary roughness, and definitely worthy of the penalty.
I’m just not sure it was “quite” as dirty as some people. If you watch the replay, the receiver was somewhat masked by the CB. The Safety kind of went around the CB, meaning the WR and ball were masked for a second. I’m not sure he was 100% aware of where the ball was…how late he was.

doesn't matter what caused the injury, the more you are on the field the higher your chances are of getting injured, whether it be a cheap shot or some other incident

I think he definitely knew the play was dead, even if he didn't have an angle to see the ball. The angle he took was to separate the ball form the player, whether that resulted in an incompletion or a fumble (major responsibility for a safety). But, right before the hit, you see him kind of pull up a little, then put a hit on Hunter. IMO, the pulling up shows that he realized the play was dead, but then he also realized he had a chance to put a big hit on Hunter; most likely in response to the trash talking.
