Remember when people used to pretend those shitty Chris kluwe articles were funny? Deadspin has sucked for a decade

It's a bunch of NYC hipster fanboys who grew up watching the Knicks, Mets and Jets suck and are running their own "national" website since Leitch left.

Just up: It took a veteran voice like Ray Ratto to make them come off the ledge of idiocy.

The Pelicans have been run horribly for years now.

Well luckily they just revamped the entire front office and training staff.

Deadspin hasn't been funny since Will Leitch left. But during his tenure they had legitimately good and funny content, especially on baseball.

Yeah. I stopped at their sense of entitlement and apparent birthright to all of the best athletes in every sport.

With the multimedia explosion and the pursuit of international markets, it doesn't matter if you play in New York, Milwaukee or Lake Charles. There are 9 cities in China with a bigger population than New York City.

Also, kudos to the guy saying the draft is plantation based, and supporting the capitalistic form of player acquisitions.

Comparing it to soccer is a horrible comparison though. All of the NBA, NFL, American leagues have no direct competition of leagues in other countries.

The players choose to be employees for the NBA, NFL, MLB, etc. In doing so it’s no different than if you decided to start working for one company and they basically relocated you a few weeks in. You can either move and stay employed or you can quit and go to another employer. I doubt Zion or just about any prospect will say frick this small market and go play for Fenerbache in Turkey.

Look I don’t give a frick about New Orleans sports or the city itself. Their teams are mostly a joke and their fan bases have some massive persecution complex. Their city is overrated dump that only appeals to the “mayonnaise is spicy” residents of Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, etc.

Having said that, I give even less than a frick about Los Angeles and New York sports, their fans, and their cities. I could elaborate but the fact that I give negative fricks about each of them says it all.

People act like since he's not in New York City, he won't be on the cover of magazines, appear on TV shows or get endorsements from Nike and Sprite. He's "stuck" in New Orleans, where nobody can watch him on television and he'll be stuck doing Take 5 Oil Change River Parishes Waste Disposal commercials. People like this are so stuck in the past it's not even funny.

Drew Brees is one of the 5-10 most visible players in the NFL and he's on Ellen every other week. Playing in the backwoods hasn't "damaged his brand."
