Yeah its Trump dividing people. Referring to the president as "the enemy"...not divisive at all.

David Ortiz slams Donald Trump, explains why he would skip White House

You don’t want to go and shake hands with a guy who is treating immigrants like (expletive) because I’m an immigrant
This is only true relating to ILLEGAL immigrants and, if that's the case, then fine illegal immigrants don't deserve to be treated well anyway THEIR VERY PRESENCE IN THIS COUNTRY VIOLATES THE LAW
quote:
Once you see what is going in this country based on being an immigrant or being black
Let's see:
-criminal justice reform
-tax cuts
-lowest black unemployment in history
-lowest Hispanic unemployment in history
-deregulation
-declared MLK's birthplace a national landmark
-job creation
I love how no one challenges these pampered athletes when they make stupid remarks like Papi just did

Cora, Boston's second-year manager, is among those who will not be at the White House on Thursday. A native of Puerto Rico, he has been an advocate for the U.S. territory in the wake of Hurricane Maria, which devastated the island in 2017 and is still recovering.
“Alex is in a tough spot right now, going there and acting like nothing is happening," Ortiz said, empathizing with the manager's position. "It’s like you are going to shake hands with the enemy. Think about it, all the stuff that has been going on since (Trump) took office. People are angry. People are mad. He has divided people, that’s how it feels like.”
FACTS
Apparently these MORONS don't like FACTS when it doesn't fit their narrative, go back to making absurd money for hitting a fricking baseball you ingrates

I really wish just once a reporter would ask the follow up question:
Reporter: David, Trump is supportive of people like you that immigrated legally - do you believe he is treating legal immigrants like (expletive) or just illegal immigrants? And what specifically is he doing to treat immigrants like (expletive)?
They just let people get away soundbites and platitudes and a simple follow up question would be pretty revealing I bet.

Former Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz sided with manager Alex Cora, saying he'd also skip a White House visit because President Trump has "divided people."
if the left accepted defeat and went on with their lives there would be no separation.

Democrats have blended terms together to confuse useful idiots.
The same woke people who think automation is coming and will displace low skill workers also are fine with millions of uneducated, unskilled people across our borders. Makes sense.
Ortiz isn't a Democrat. Back in the mid-2000s, the Red Sox conducted a clubhouse poll with their players. Every player on that team except for Gabe Kapler stated they were voting Republicans. Trump is so toxic that even athletes who are typically conservative and think with their checkbooks first want nothing to do with him.

We'll see how toxic he is in November 2020.
Me thinks it won't go as you think it will.

I don't like Trump but these athletes are really being petty af

That’s a pretty useless piece of evidence
Who did you vote for?
Who did you vote for?

Why does this same story continue to get press? It’s the same exact story with different names every time. No one cares.

So COMMON SENSE divides people, really shows how retarded we've become as a nation when we're concluding stuff like this (apologize to those with special needs for using that term but all y'all know what I mean 1st Amendment and DBAP)

Was this country united prior to Trump?

But that's kind of a cop out.
Other than 6 months post 9/11, when was the last time you would have considered our populace "united". Reagan? Cold war? Our politics has gotten progressively more hostile and ugly since the rise of the internet, and I dont see how that turns back.
And this refusal to visit the oval office as a symbolic gesture wont end with Trump. The precedent is set now. Future presidents will deal with it to, for one stupid reason or another. Until, eventually, no teams will be invited just to prevent the story.
