it's sad how so many of you dont get it. rodgers wanted money not a stacked team.

This is more about Adams not wanting to be in GB anymore.

Yes that is the main driver for this happening.

But Rodgers knew this was coming essentially when he signed his deal

So that whole “I just wanna win! It’s not about the money!” Thing rings a bit hallow when you know you are losing that WR1 but still sign a record breaking contract anyway, after months of dragging the team for not putting enough talent around you which supposedly led him to that unhappiness

Packers can sign Schuster and Landry (plus maybe Beasley) combined for less money than for Adams. Then they can build depth with the draft. I think it's a win-win.

Those quarters don't equal the dollar IMO.

Rodgers is probably super excited to have a whole new crew of young WRs to blame playoff short comings on

Will Rodgers throw them the ball?

He'll have to. Won't be able to ignore everyone else while he throws to double covered Adams for 5 yards.

Davante Adams was like a brother to Aaron Rodgers, so this trade makes sense.

On the whole speculation side, what about Julio Jones to Green Bay?

Julio's hamstrings aren't making it to Thanksgiving if he's outside in the NFC North.

AJ green feels like a Green Bay type of signing. Usually not afraid of an aging vet

Adams is the highest paid non QB in the league. And one of only 2 WR's making more than $20/year.

Frankly I'm pissed the Packers offered to match the Raiders.

The highest paid QB and highest paid other player on the same team would seem to be untenable with the cap.

Did they?

A lot easier to draft receivers than quarterbacks.

$28.5 million is too much salary cap for a guy that typically touches the ball 6-9 times a game.

Adios.
